Great beer selection in a traditional pub environment. There are snugs, nooks and side rooms that make you feel like Tolken has written this place but there's a modern sense of customer care and professionalism from the staff.Highly recommended and well worth a visit.N.B. there's a pretty good selection of spirits and the pies are exquisite.

It's sort of port of call on my home. A quiet pint, just muffled words drifting in the air. Walt Whitman would have a field day. Can everyone stop dressing in black though.

Been looking for a real ale pub in Huddersfield, not just a real ale pub but also the kind of pub that oozes character and customer diversity. Not to mention the always attentive and chatty staff. Brilliant place.

Day trip to Huddersfield. This was the best pub of the day. Excellent beer selection. Very clean pub.

Today we visited this pub. We order international food from Indonesia,the taste of thr food it was amazing i really love it specially rendang beef and the urap (kind of salad traditional from Indonesia), and complete by the red wine.very nice xx

Well run and very neatly kept house. Very handy for the rail station as it away from town centre. Not much seating as the bar area is large and allows for a lot of standee drinkers. Great range of cask beers from both local and further afield brewers. Recommended.
