Tappino's in Kirklees

Hidden gem in Cleckheaton we stumbled on years ago! We are regulars at Tappinos now and it’s consistently a great meal out. Make sure you book to get a table. Not cheap as those tapas quickly add up but the food is excellent.What we love:- Unique dishes which are presented well- Great idea to serve Italian tapas allows you to try many dishes- Perfect for sharingFood recommendations:- Tartufo Nero pizza and grilled octopus are my favourites- Handmade ravioli which often appears as a special is a must tryWhat could be improved:- More cocktail choices would be nice- Some of the food is overpriced for what you get- 1.5 hr table booking not long enough (should be 2 hours)

Called in with the family for lunch today and can highly recommend. The tapas was amazing accompanied with great atmosphere and a warm welcome from all the staff.

Excellent place for tapas! Looks small on the outside but much bigger inside and great quirky decor (pipes, rustic, warm lighting). Very attentive, polite service and awesome food! 👌

My fiancé and I visited for date night, we got the tasting tapas for 2 as we wanted to get out of our comfort zone and try different dishes to what we would normally order. The selection of dishes was perfect, fresh and tasty food. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Everything we could hope for. We will most certainly be returning in the future.

Went with my family for my birthday. The food itself was fantastic, for tapas it came with quite large portion sizes all incredibly well presented and well cooked, truly kudos to the chef for that night. The only issue that spoiled my evening was when I asked a guy with the kiss tattoo on his neck for an espresso as he was wiping our table, his response was a sickly smile followed by "please let me finish cleaning your table" made me feel to be a bit of an arse even mentioning a small request in passing. Staff did seem tired and as a customer service worker myself I recognised this, sadly I also recognised the truth behind that smile too. Will probably go again just for the food despite not feeling very welcomed overall.

Fantastic food. Lovely surrounding. A little slice of Sicily (and some other bits of the med) in West Yorkshire. The Cannolo and espresso were worth the visit alone.

Visited here for the first time last Friday evening.My girlfriend and I had a few tapas each and drinks. It was about 9.30 and we didn't book in advance. The staff were very accommodating and seated us straight away.Service was surprisingly fast, both taking orders and for the food.The food was delicious and the portions were ample.My favourite was the pizza roll, I've never tried anything like it!For dessert we had cheesecake which was lovely.The drinks are a tad pricey, £6.25 for a pint of lagerNever the less, We'll definitely be going back!!
