Great atmosphere, food comes out quickly, HUGE portions and epic ale. What more could you ask for 🏻 🏻

Delicious 3 course meal. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed everything they had. Couldn't fault it. Large portions. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. The only criticism they didn't check if everything was OK until they came to clear table. But they were extremely busy. Would definitely recommend.

A traditional pub with a great view. The food was excellent, especially the duck with dipping sauce appetizer which I’d have again, ordering two, as my main. The service was perfect. Next time we are in the area, we’ll plan a hike from Mirfield up to the pub for a dinner. What a treat that would be.

First time to dine at the Blacksmith's having had a Sunday lunch take away in the depths of lockdown ! Ordered the steak and ale pie and it was gorgeous my girlfriend had the chicken and ham pie also blissfully tasty ! Great food in a nice clean covid secure pub ! Highly recommended! Went back and tried the gammon ! Was lovely! For me it's the best pub dining in kirklees when weighing up the food drink and value.

Went for lunch ordered roast dinner came was nice ordered fillet steak medium well not burnt, 1st one came burnt we questioned if it was even a fillet. 2nd one came burnt also spoke to the chef who brought the fillet steak out and you could quite obviously see it wasn't a fillet steak on the plate. Seems the staff can't handle criticism, would not recommend eating steak here at all.

Typical pub food. Filled you up but not the best. Pie was tasty but the roast potatoes were not homemade seemed more like frozen ones and were not very nice at all. The chips were also very poor. Limited menu on a Sunday its just a Sunday menu so roast dinners and pies and one chicken breast meal and thats was about it for mains apart from one vegetarian dish. The pate was an average homemade pate but the jam roly poly and custard was awful.

Called in for Sunday tea. Modern and clean, but with a traditional feel, this is a lovely pub. It has a campsite out back with lovely views. The food is home made and delicious. At the time of writing, they had a Sunday menu that is £4.95 per starter or dessert and £10.95 for mains. The service was friendly and fast. Outside there is a nice area to sit under shelter or there is ample seating inside. We'll be back.

Brilliant, just brilliant. That yorkshire pudding was enormous. The fish hangs over the plate. The sauce's for the duck pancakes are amazing. Good selection of beers. Great staff. The view, well, its yorkshire so its stunning.

I haven't been here for a good few years but was very pleased we came for a meal today. The pub is very well decorated and super clean, the staff who served us were all amazing and very polite, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff the food is absolutely incredible! Plenty of parking and lots out outdoor seating and beautiful views. Thank you so much we'll be back soon :-)
