Very quiet compared to what it used to be on a Friday night

Nice and warm and cozy with a lovely open fire 🔥 and good staff

Great garden. Amazing burger. Good beer. Dogs allowed. Nice caretakers. Cool patrons. What more do you need?! A fine pub!

Always considered the clothiers to be a bit of a hidden gem. Great staff, well kept selection of ales and always superb food. Example, last Saturday we ordered burgers for collection, once home we realised they had forgotten our corn on the cob, whilst discussing whether to ring up or not Michael knocked in the door and hand delivered said corn on the cob, great service!

I love the tapas served here. There's an excellent choice and the portion sizes are good, compared to some other places I've eaten tapas, and it's delicious!

Saturday night. Only decent ale was off, pub largely empty but apparently fully booked for tapas. Such a missed opportunity - this line could be Huddersfield's second ale trail, but not with offerings like this.

Hosted a party for a significant birthday. Very helpful with booking and planning. Venue excellent, food plentiful and delicious. Different food preferences catered for. Bar well stocked and staffed. An evening thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thank you.

My partner raved about this place for ages so we decided to finally go yesterday, the service was minimal, didn't even get given menus and then had to ask for cutlery in which the owner of the place replied "haven't you been given them" in a rant sort of fashion, well why would we ask?Not once got asked how our meal was not even at payment.Well here is how the food was... The food was quite bland and nothing exciting even my partner which has previously given 5 stars 4 times was extremely disappointed.The place needs work put into it the ceiling had a hole and needed repainting as a whole.The selection of beer wasn't great you'd expect there to be some sort of guest ales or a much larger selection of beers,ales and lagers.As a whole I wouldn't recommend this place for food or for a beer.I believe to have a bar/restaurant so far away from anywhere you need exceptional food and beers to make punters want to come back for more I certainly won't be.

I enjoy coming to this pub. Its typically quiet, has friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I'd recommend coming here if you fancy a pint or something to eat, because the food is great.

I have not been here for years, there is now an Indian restaurant in the back. 😮
