The Fleece in Kirklees

We had our wedding at the fleece on 10th April 2022. The team couldn't have been more helpful. Carrie-Anne helped us so much with having to change dates due to lockdowns. The food was amazing. All the staff throughout the day couldn't have been more helpful. They all made the day run so smoothly.

We had our wonderful winter wedding at the Fleece in December 2021, we could not have asked for more. The food was amazing, people are still talking about it now! The service was fabulous they could not have done more. The room looked stunning. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect, a massive thank you to you all from Bruno & Elspeth

Attending a wedding reception here and was amazed by the setting.The view is spectacular, even at night, the outdoor area is beautifully and tastefully designed, the bar had a large selection and the actual seating area was stunningly decorated.Thank you for a memorable evening.

Fantastic staff. Really friendly and great service in getting food out on time. Lovely views of the pennines and a big patio area to enjoy the location.

We booked the Fleece for our 2021 winter wedding. We found it online and decided to attend a wedding taster day to view it in person. Our first visit was when we met with Carrie-Anne, who is the wedding coordinator there (she is absolutely lovely!) As soon as we saw the building from the outside and its surrounding views we started to get excited. After stepping inside, I feel like I just knew in my heart this is where I wanted to get married..like the feeling you get when you find your dream house!!The inside is so cozy and welcoming but perfectly modern in the right places! I felt so at home! Carrie Anne took us round the wedding area which had been set up so you could see what the room would look like and I could already see myself walking down the aisle.Safe to say after leaving the meeting I said to my now husband that we needed to get married there and he agreed, he felt the same!All communication with Carrie-Anne throughout the course of planning was very good and she answered every query we had so we knew where we were up to at all times.So finally, our wedding day.. It was seamless from start to finish. I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better venue. We were lucky enough to get the first good day of weather in weeks, so we took full advantage of the stunning views at the back of the venue with our photographer.Every single staff member who works there was so attentive and catered to our every need. I imagined a wedding day to be very stressful and overwhelming, but the way everything was organised for us made it so our day ran like clockwork. We genuinely had 2 of our guests tell us that this is where they want to get married as everything was just so perfect!Another important thing to mention that the Fleece excelled in was the food.. it was exceptional! We had the Roasted Parsnip and carrot soup, a roast beef dinner and the best sticky toffee pudding I have ever had (I've tried lots as it's my favourite)The bridal suite is also stunning and the perfect place to get a cozy nights sleep after a busy day. We have stayed in a couple of the other rooms over the course of last year and they are also lovely and comfy and were perfect for our wedding guests!As soon as we booked our wedding here we started to come for meals for special occasions and when we visit from now on we can re-live the best day of our lives! Thank you so much to everyone at The Fleece for helping to make our wedding day as magical we hoped it could be!

We had our wedding here in December 2021 - it should have been in December 2020 but had to be delayed.....Through the upheaval of having to change everything Carrie-Anne and the team at The Fleece were amazing.Nothing was too much trouble, all questioned answered :-)Our eventual Wedding Day was amazing - very foggy but amazing. The whole team supported us both throughout the day and evening to make sure everything went as planned and everyone had an amazing time.The food is phenomenal - we eat here once a month but the kitchen outdid themselves serving 70 people at once with gorgeous hot food, and the wait staff kept the food coming and kept the wine glasses topped up.The views are stunning and really make for beautiful wedding photos as does the venue - inside and out.If you are looking for a wedding venue you cannot choose a better one than this

We had our wedding at The Fleece Inn in December 2021 after 3 postponements & it was so worth the wait.The wedding package we booked was amazing value for money. The food came out quickly and was gorgeous, the staff on the day couldn't do enough for us and our guests. Even the room change around was flawless, with the staff moving decorations to places they looked best in the evening without us even having to think about it. We also booked the recommended DJ and he was fantastic and truly made the night!So many people told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to & of course we agree.Thank you team Fleece for providing us with the day we always dreamed of.Mr & Mrs Armitage - 10.12.21

Quaint country pub, well staffed and serving good drinks. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would visit again. Staff pleasant and friendly.

The name is accurate we was fleeced! Ordered two shorts and two mains an hour later our drinks arrived and we was fleeced out of £2 extra for 2 dashes of pepsi,on top of the £10 we already paid for the rum! Hence we left before the food was defrosted.

Friendly & helpful service with very good dishes. Without doubt I would recommend.Salt cod fritters were very tasty! Venison rossini excellent. Pheasant breasts very enjoyable
