So this is the second time we have visited. The first was one week ago, for Sunday dinner. I'm not usually a big fan of pub Sunday dinners. However this was fantastic. The choice and quality, was truly amazing. Plus a sub section, for people like myself. Who don't wish to partake with the Sunday lunch. However on this occasion I'm glad I did go for the Sunday lunch. (Still trying to get the chef to tell me what's in the red cabbage). We have also just been back for lunch today. We'll another great experience. My wife had the burger. My choice was the belly pork. 😘👨🍳👨🍳. And the kids had a sandwich and pizza option, followed by a pudding. The food is amazing, the hospitality is exceptional and the setting amazing. Can't recommend enough.

Will start off with the positive first, not been for a few years, still a lovely little hidden place, food was amazing, £18 for a 2 course and £22 for a 3 course, very good value for money, the staff are great, we had a couple of lovely waitresses, the coffee is the best we have had in a pub in a long time, can't recommend enough. Sorry there is just one negative, you do not serve beef gravy with lamb (as lovely as the gravy was), it really does not work, if that had not had happened it would have been 5 stars.

Has family lunch booked for Saturday 27th March , weather was glorious so all outdoor tables were full. We sat inside which was fine but Service was awfully slow but not a big deal. Family have eaten here before a few times and had good time so was looking forward to the meal but this time food was pretty average which was disappointing. Desserts were not great - ordered 2 x Crème Brûlée which were a disaster , also ordered cheesecake which we would avoid next time , felt like we were part of a work in progress. Maybe they were having an off day …

Great Sunday dinner. Value for money. Service slow and staff don't appear to be happy...

Me & my friend met here last Friday for lunch. We hadn't booked a table, but were ok as there were a few spare tables, although they did fill up pretty quickly. The staff were really friendly & helpful. The menu had a good selection. We both chose the Fishcake as a main course, with chunky chips & a side salad. It was delicious. I had the cheesecake for dessert & my friend had the crumble. Again it was delicious. We couldn't fault any of it & we will definitely be back. (Oh & the 2 bottles of Prosecco was delicious too!) 😁

Great pub and restaurant. . Lovely atmosphere and the food is very good. In the summer a super beer garden and in the winter a roaring log fire . Well worth a visit.

Lovely Sunday lunch, only tiny improvement I'd make is maybe have a separate dish for veg, but friendly staff, warm atmosphere and they serve Timmy Ts Landlord 👍 Champion.

Good food but what really elevates this pub to 5 stars is the staff and the warm welcome you receive. Polite and all with a smile on their faces.
