The Leggers Inn in Kirklees

Never before have I seen 5 tables walk out of a restaurant due to either no food, or terrible food. This was just in the 2 hours we were there. The food was a joke. We were kindly offered 25% off our bill only to find out they couldn't even find our bill and brought someone elses. We were served by a lovely girl called Hannah who was obviously embarrassed by the situation and seemed physically shaken when she came out and told us and one other table that we can just leave. All while some guy who looked like an owner of some kind walked around smiling with a pint of beer. As someone who owns hospitality venues myself, how dare you leave your staff in such a bad situation. They were all trying their best without any procedures or systems in place to be successful within your business and they were left to fail and take anger from your customers. They were a credit to your beautiful pub. Apparently you were busy? In two hours I counted around 20 people eating and a good chunk of those were staff. What a shame.

Have had several meals here now, never fails to please.Had a fillet steak this evening, with a field mushroom, chunky chips and tomato.Absolutely beautiful. Cooked to perfection. So juicy. All washed down with a couple of blue moons.Had no room for a dessert, but the sticky toffee pudding is amazing.

Lovely pub. Really good quality food. Steak n ale pie 👌 Sharing platters, have enough for 3.Excellent location by the canal.Nice atmosphere, and the staff make you feel like you've been going in for years.Love the Blue Moon with a slice of orange., which counts towards your five a day. Wish I lived next door!

Lovely food and warm welcome from staff, a shame two guys on the table next to us were playing football on their phone full blast but not the fault of Leggers, decent place for a platter, steak was cooked perfectly! Will be back

Bloody wonderful! Location is excellent, staff very accommodating and great with the kids. We had the Sunday Platter which was phenomenal and very well priced. Will be back for sure 👍😁

Great little pub with very friendly staff. The meals we had were both very nice. A really warm welcome. We were staying on the accompanying CL campsite in our Motorhome and loved it. We would definitely come back again hopefully when the weather is a bit warmer.

Used the CL here for our camper van, so parked alongside the narrowboat. Didn't need to book for our meal. Absolutely lovely staff, environment and beer. The meals were delicious, fish and chips, battered halloumi and chips. Both came with minted peas, tartare sauce and chinese curry sauce. Delicious. Great atmosphere ... thoroughly enjoyed.

Absolutely lovely beer here. Great selection of real ales on offer. Blue moon has got to be the best beer. Have a cheeky half and you will see what I am on about. Food is great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Has a brilliant canal view decent prices. It's hidden away and unless you know the area it's not well known. There is a moor for canal boats and has a caravan/motorhome area.

If you like a good beer garden at the side of the canal,you need to go here. It's so nice,Lovely atmosphere with Ibiza classics played by their own D.J. Lovely,fresh homecooked food too!

Good place, not sure what i expected but it was better, nice location very relaxing, nice staff, i only had a snack 3 cheese's, very nice, but the other meals looked good.
