Food ...be prepared to wait for it ,its worth it ..Best triple cooked chips I've had anywhere .. unfortunately there was just one young woman serving ,,cleaning ,, order taking in the conservatory..she worked extremely hard at keeping everyone happy ..If I could give 10 stars I would .. we will be back many times ...Re visited again yesterday..unfortunately we were not has happy ..not a massive issue just the veg was just warm ..again there was only one waitress ,,we would have complained if we could have caught her attention..

Popped in over the Jubilee weekend for some lunch and a few pints with my wife and our dog. The place was a bit quieter than we expected, but not an issue. Ordered a spicy chicken burger and for my wife, a turkey BLT with sweet potato fries. Both were served quickly were spot on taste and presentation wise. Loads of it as well, could have shared really! Beer prices are typical of the 'better' pubs in Cleck and there's a good range. Additional entertainment was provided by a local scroat who decided to peddle his dodgy wares around all the customers both inside and out before being chucked out by the Landlord. Prompted some laughs and cross-table discussions. Overall a good experience at the place. We've been before and we'll be back again.

I had overall high hopes coming to visit The Marsh. My family have recommended it to me on a few occasions. Unfortunately, it didn't meet what I was led to expect though. After being seated, and placing my order, it took nigh-on fourty minutes for the starters to arrive. I ordered calamari, and it came overdone/rubbery, and was served with unwashed salad. We then had to prompt the waitress again after another wait between courses, which shouldn't need to be done. The service was slow, despite the building being half empty.Furthermore, don't go for a roast. I had the turkey, which was dry, and was given 3 types of potatoes. A roast shouldn't be overwhelmed with that many carbs. Two roasties is a shambles, to be then given a mass of new potatoes and mash. Give customers the option if you're going to offer all three.I sadly won't be coming back to this establishment, and won't recommend it to friends or family.

I don’t know what all the fuss is about with this place, it really isn’t anything special.Decor and staff nice, seated and served pretty promptly even though they were real busy as a Sunday so I assume their busiest day.Pricing is very fair, some may say cheap and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for…. In my case, a plate full of bland food. Our table order consisted of creamy garlic mushrooms, soup and mozzarella for starters with Sunday roasts and beef baguette for mains.Watery soup and mushrooms that resembled the taste out of a pasta n sauce kit. Roast were terribly tasteless with what seemed like packet beef that had been cooked to death, even my dog wasn’t keen with what I took him home. A lot of full plates upon clearing up.All in all, rubbish unfortunately. Below average food.

Decent pub. Serve real ales as well as your usual lagers. Usually busy each time I’m in which I guess is a god sign. Beer garden to rear and a restaurant area.

Went for a meal here.. Unfortunately they didn't have any steak.. So I had belly pork very nice, very good table serve from the young lady, nicely decorated pub, good outside area under cover & exposed... Got quite busy for a afternoon.. All in all good friendly service from all, good atmosphere... 👍

The young bar person was really charming and really helpful. We have only met her 3 time's but she remembered us from our previous visits. She always has a smile and seems happy at her work.
