AVOID.Food promised. No food provided. They told us they would still be serving food but when we returned in good time, they'd changed their mind.The other reviews of this pub are accurate it seems - they don't care about their customers and have a terrible attitude.

Friendly locals pub. No real ale . I am a wheelchair user and I was assisted by a couple of regular s (Big Thanks lads) Lovely pub worth a visit, and close to the train station !

Great pop up market event. Staff really friendly.

It's potentially a very attractive pub, with good beer and a warm setting. We visited on Saturday afternoon ahead of an Ale Trail invasion and were served beer in plastic glasses. I sympathize with the owners and will write to West Yorks Police to ask what they plan to do but for our party, the glasses and being regaled by the landlady of horror stories of violence mean that we won't be returning. Why would I want to drink in a pub where the owners are so sure of violence and anti social behaviour that they refuse to use glass for fear that the will be thrown or smashed in people's faces?. What a state this country is in!

Great food, really enjoyed it.Good value prices. Excellent Timothy Taylor beer. Can’t wait to come back.

It says welcome walkers on the door…clearly not. The landlord was very rude. We were told off rudely for having our own snacks even though we did plan to order food!! He even commented that when we told him we had gone to buy a drink he said what to share! Bad attitude stay away there are many more places in Marsden to eat and drink

Called in today for lunch around 2pm Never have I received such bad service. Over charged with no apology and told that's how it is as they're busy and the menu was printed wrong. A community owned pub should be greatful of the business and be apologetic. Will not be visiting again!!!!

Hadn't been in for a while and was very surprised at the changes which have been done. It's like a different pub , and as a bonus for me they had farmers blonde on too. The new couple who've taken it over are from the dark side of the Pennines , although they appear very nice and friendly..

Great food and friendly staff. Lovely beer garden and perfectly located close to the station and only 15 minutes walk from the Standedge Canal Visitor Centre.
