A beautiful pub Such a shame that it flooded shortly after we had been there

A pub with a traditional, friendly atmosphere and a very welcome absence of inane pop music and garish gambling machines. A good variety of real ale too. Can't fault the place.

A great traditional pub with hand pulled beers, a great atmosphere and well worth a visit.

Star Inn is a lovely drinking establishment, I have never had a bad pint there, they have watched my family grow, its never been a loud round place. The staff are brilliant. And when they were allowed to open over covid they made us feel safer than going to work or going shopping.

Great little pub that has been supplying quality cask ales for many years now. Good outlet for Taylor's beers, plus other Yorkshire brews. Comfortable and welcoming surroundings. Worth the walk out of town. Recommended.

Very nice traditional pub a bit out of the centre. A good mixed selection of ales served by a friendly and helpful barmaid.

Homely trad pub just outside town. Very welcoming and with an excellent selection of real ales, well kept. Plus some interesting gins. A short walk from the popular Rat pub and definitely a fine real beer alternative, especially when the Rat is rammed or there's a "band noise" evicting the beer loving conversationalists, as there was last Saturday. Dog friendly I suspect, based on noting resident bar whippet and friendly cat companion.

A real 'hidden gem' worth tracking down. The choice of ale is exceptional and some unusual choices such as fruit beers on offer. The landlady is so welcoming. when we went there was live music on and a free cheese board suddenly arrived on the table ( not sure if that happens all the time!). I honestly felt amongst friends right away and would return again.
