The Whippet & Pickle in Kirklees

Went for dinner last Saturday. The food was as wonderful as the wallpaper. Actually that’s not quite true - the wallpaper was beautiful; the food was perfect; the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We loved the atmosphere too. Really, you could not ask for more or better.

We had a lovely meal tonight, the place has a warm and welcoming feeling, the decor is quirky and eye-catching. Most of all, the waiting staff were brilliant, accommodating and informative, they are a credit to the place, excellent customer service.

The food was absolutely delicious including the fabulous chocolate fondant dessert.

I cannot remember having a better meal at a restaurant...ever! The place is gorgeous and the person who welcomed and served us was brilliant. I felt really welcome. The food, oh the food!!! Great menu, unbelievably tasty and so attractively presented. I cannot recommend this place enough. It's not cheap but completely worth it. Decent wine menu, too. Thank you!!!

Quirky, local, hidden gem. I love coming here for a quick breakfast and strong coffee. The decor is always lovely. The location is perfect. Straight across the street from a car park.

Outstanding in every way! Absolutely wonderful food, pleasant staff and great decor. The drinks selection was good, and I think they did a load of different gins. We went on a Saturday evening and there were just the right amount of people in, not too busy but still enough for a nice atmosphere. The manager had some good music playing in the background that was at just the right volume playing through a decent stereo system. We had a very nice evening and we will certainly be back next time we’re in the area.
