We popped in for the buffet breakfast on Saturday morning. Wow, this place gets busy! If you are planning to visit, get in early as the remarkable value draws people to the Toby Carvery in droves. They serve up mountains of food at unbelievably cheap prices.

Been going to Toby for years but must admit it seems to be losing its way a bit staff were lovely but the food was a bit cold gravy was cold too, not surprised as they had 3 dishes of mash sat at the back waiting to replace the ones out same with the veg no wonder it was cold .place could really do with a refit hasen't been done for at least 7 years since I've been going but saying that still only £7.99 midweek ,good disabled access n parking so will still keep going tip if you don't do steps best to book a table first 😉

It's great for a quick substantial meal. But it's not all great quality tasting, e.g the cauliflower cheese has no taste of cheese at all is more of a watery taste to it and the cabbage is pretty chewy. But would still recommend for quick and easy dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place is kept clean and tidy.

Went here for a birthday and the food was good but the staff need training, we took a cake and had to ask for a knife ro cut it and then ask for plates and cutlery and then napkins. We struggled ordering more drinks too. The staff were friendly enough but could do with being a bit more on the ball, and attentive

Visited for my Mum's birthday - staff were very efficient for what I would personally consider to have been quite a busy evening. The facilities and general areas of the pub were nice and clean and staff were really friendly. My only suggestions would be for Toby Carvery as a chain to offer the same dining experience to diners with dietary requirements - I suffer from gluten intolerance and would love to see far more restaurants being far more inclusive - being able to provide gluten free Yorkshire puddings, wheat free meat gravy & hot puddings being made available.I know from going to different carveries that vegetables on offer vary, but would have loved to have seen some roasted parsnips and overall more variety of veg - sweetcorn, green beans

Staff were friendly and helpful, atmosphere was pleasant, the food was okay but it should have been hotter, it was just warm. The Yorkshire puddings were tough and cold. The only other complaint was the girl who served the meat was quite brusk, oh and your gravy was like wallpaper paste, much too thick.

Birthday lunch yesterday March 1st. Carvery chosen by the birthday girl. Friendly efficient service. Minor problem over the bill was sorted in a professional manner.Birthday girl visiting again tomorrow. What more can you say. Well done Toby's Huddersfield.

It was OK, nothing special. Same as any Toby Calvery, with rather small portions of the meat but as much veg and potatoes as you can fit on your plate. Gravy was the plain powdered type that you add water to, could've been better really. Bottle of house wine was pretty expensive at £15 per bottle compared with £10 at other pubs. Probably wouldn't visit this place again.

·

I don't like the carvery food, overcooked, bland veg, dry meat and bitter gravy. But today I had prawns in Marie rose sauce, wrapped in a giant yorky pud, served with a delicious salad.Lovely presentation!Service and price spot on! 😬

A lovely pub/restaurant. The choice of food on the carvery was excellent, and well prepared. Good selection of drinks available. There is ample car parking with some disabled spaces. The toilets are on the ground floor and was spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Special mention to Rachel for her excellent customer service.Well worth a visit.
