Everyone enjoyed the special birthday celebrations and said the meal was fantastic the staff were brilliant too.

We had a wake here recently and the buffet food was delicious. The variety of cold and hot food was enough. I'm fairly sure the pizza, sausage rolls and pies were home made. Even the coleslaw was delicious. Spot on 5 stars. We have also infact had Christmas Dinner here one year and that was also perfect.

Called in for lunch , had a fish butty which was very tasty with proper homemade chips . Staff were very pleasant - we definitely return .

I came here for a Christmas meal and I have to say this is an exceptional pub.The food quality was amazing and I cannot fault a thing as it was quickly served and piping hot. The puddings were fantastic with a decent range.In addition to this, they had no trouble seating the ten of us and we were welcomed in even though we were thirty minutes early. The pub has an enjoyable atmosphere with a traditional feeling.I strongly recommend this for any meal but especially for special occasions such as a birthday or Christmas. I have been left extremely satisfied with my all-round experience and would certainly look forward to coming here again.

At the moment they were only serving food in the bar area but food was really nice. I had mushroom and Spinach lassagna it was different but I enjoyed it. Staff very helpful and cheerful. Definitely will go again.We used to go to various restraunts alternately. We have tried 4 of them and travelers rest was first one were the food didn't lose any quality from before lockdown.

First visit here for lunch on a Saturday and will definitely be returning. Friendly, pleasant staff, plenty of room, quick food service and the food itself was delicious. Had the aubergine and lentil moussaka with a Greek salad and home made tomato bread and hummus - yummy. My hubby had the fish tea cake with chips and coleslaw. Big portions, food piping hot and great value for money. We will be back very soon!

A deceptive gem! The pub is pretty standard but the food if first class. Saw the reviews and thought we would give it a go, was not disappointed! There is a lot of competition in the area which is great, I would highly recommend this pub and will definitely visit again.
