Great range of beer, good value.. And MY GOD the Sunday Roast Beef is to die for!

Charming station bar. Full of character. Excellent selection of drinks. Friendly service, reasonable prices. Recommend a visit if in the area.

The West Riding is great pub. The open fires are so warm and inviting. It has a lively atmosphere and an amazing choice of ales, beers ciders etc. Something for everyone. A great place to visit, whether you're on your own, or in a group.

Always liked coming here,summer is great with bands on outside.Inside is full of train memorabilia posters and beer posters, and serves great real and craft ales, lagers and ciders ,seating near a pot bellied fire which was great for us as it was bloody cold out,They also serve food which looked and smelled nice, but I have not eaten here,so can't comment on that as yet.

Went tonight. Granted late about 10.30 was no one else in apart from myself and my husband. The two young barmaids were delightful but the DJ and presumed bar manager were atrocious. He kept playing music but changed his mind two minutes into a track could not make his mind up. She was off her face dancing and outside when i was having a cigaret her language was atrocious. Sort it out because we would have stayed longer but for that.

I’d heard word about the Sunday Roast Dinner at the Ridings for a couple of weeks at this point but it’s only once I’d tried it for myself did I understand the hype. Sylvia and the staff have put together a no-frills, no menu ‘take what you’re given and enjoy’ feast of wonderfully cooked beef on a bed of mash with veg, stunning roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and a nicely crisp and fluffy Yorkshire Pudding.The gravy is thick and beefy, the CAMRA-endorsed bar selection is expansive and deep, the decor is rich and colourful, and the atmosphere is a heady mix of warm welcome for newcomers with that confidence of a pub that knows exactly how good it is. The West Ridings really is a venue that you have to give a go at some point in your life before you head on down the road… highly recommended.

Always been one of my favourite pubs and definitely #1 in Dewsbury. Great traditional railway station pub. Great range of cask ales and interesting lagers. Has for years had good live entertainment and good quality food. Tables available at the front.Staff very knowledgeable and friendly, tables regularly cleanedIn the past have got the train from Leeds, two or three hours in the pub and then back to Leeds having never left the station.Well worth a visit

Aww the West. It holds a special place in my heart. It also does amazing beer and warm pork scratchings... sooooo why wouldn't you like it.

Impressive pub adjacent to the railway station, great selection of local beers and nice roast for £8.95 on a Sunday. Well impressive and can't imagine a better pub in town.
