Wetherspoons Lord Nelson in Kirklees

Reasonably quick service for such a busy spot. Cheap prices and plenty of choice on the menu.

Didn’t think things would end well when my mixed grill turned up with what looked like a chunk of coal on the plate!! The egg was like it was cooked 20 minutes before and when I got to my piece of gammon I think a defibrillator would have brought the pig back to life. Only given 2 stars because the wifes meal was nice otherwise it would be a one star.

Staff were really fab and nothing was too much trouble. Service was quick and drinks and food excellent value. Good atmosphere too.

My go-to family food spot, always quick and good value when having a shopping day. App makes ordering easy, and the range of ales is always good. Regularly out of the fresh pizza bases though.

The drinks are cracking value, however i must be getting old! Its like a cattle market, a combination of late middle aged couples embarrassingly wasted and hardly dressed 19 year old girls. And bizzare as it may seem couples ordering food late into the night, sitting eating in the middle of deafening music and a smoke machine. Quiet an experience. A fun night though.

I think your pup, the food was good and love the price. The service was good too. But the table were full of dirty menu while I was there. So I took one star away.

Sausage, beans and chips for £4 WONDERFUL!! Lord Wilson has a lively atmosphere and is the perfect place to have a drink with mates, great on its own as a night out or as the start of one. Staff are so lovely and friendly, a nice place overall would recommend :))
