Wills O' Nats in Kirklees

Great food and lovely atmosphere, and brilliant staff, plenty of free parking surrounded by lovely country side.

Called in for a drink on our dog walk pub not busy 3 staff behind the bar and they all looked at myself and my partner without a word or acknowledgement that we existed ,we left and spent our money elsewhere

It was busy and the dining area was very noisy. However the lady serving offered to move us to a quieter spot which was much nicer. Food is reasonably priced and we ordered from the blackboard, cheaper, menu. Food appeared quickly and was very nice, even though I deplore this trend for a sweet brioche bun with a burger instead of a more traditional style sesame bun. Waitress was pleasant and very efficient. Will return.

We stayed here with the motorhomers club. For 4 days. The Wills O' Nats is a lovely pub. The staff and locals are great, and the foods not bad either. We'll be back.

We weren't particularly impressed with Wills O' Nats. We were recommended to go because of the food but both of our meals were very bland. The service was average with not a lot of smiles on their faces, but it was a busy Sunday evening and probably stressful.I guess it depends what you're looking for. It has a very family friendly, local feel, lots of kids sat on the floor playing with toys, dogs laid out where everyone walks and staff getting tetchy with each other while farmers get tipsy.The decor inside was pretty grim, very old fashioned with the usual tat on the walls. Looks like it could do with a few grand spending on it (probably £100k).However, the setting was lovely and I will definitely give it another try in the summer when the sun's out as it's a nice spot and it looks like a nice beer garden with a decent children's play area.

Good food and helpful staff. Will go again. I had my silver wedding party there in 1977 and hadn't been since till today for we three sisters birthdays

Relaxed warm and friendly rural pub with real fires after a day out or at work .Good food service great .

Location pretty good with good walks from here to reservoir and more- nice sized beer garden with views - and a great Yorkshire wrap ! Just no horseradish for it !!! Food was good anyway !

Lovely meal outside today for my Birthday, garlic mushrooms to start, and beetroot risotto, a bit of a wait but well worth it.
