Y's Bar and Snap in Kirklees

Incredibly rude manager. As soon as me and my boyfriend came in, we was asked to leave straight away, without even showing our ID’s. Which actually comes under discrimination against young people ( ageism.) By automatically looking at us and assuming our age based on our appearance. I am 20 myself and my boyfriend is 21. It is a 21+ pub, however I came here myself when I was 18, so it’s not a 21+ pub. The manager then proceeded to be unprofessional and ignorant and joke about turning us away with one of the customers. Rude and unprofessional, if you like that sort of thing, then I’m sure you’d love to visit here!

Great bar with had a fabulous afternoon here.We had the dips tzaikki,Hummus and OMG curried mango dip it was amazing the kids loved it so much we had 3 lots of pittas with it( great value there were 4 of us and we were all pretty much full after it was banging) The staff were amazing 👏 see you soon ladies 😘

Really nice bar chilled vibe and atmosphere. The bar tender even rustled up an alcohol free cocktail on the spot. I was impressed lol.Would definitely visit again

Me and 2 friends arrived and were immediately told to leave as it’s a “over 21’s” bar, having been served there before when I was 18 it’s obviously not an over 21s bar and we weren’t even given a second to show our ids, staff were unwelcoming and rude, seemed annoyed at Our presence.

Great atmosphere, well mixed drinks, friendly staff and the landlady is a diamond.

This place not open early in the week and not the largest of pubs, but has a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Lovely bar and the owner is so welcoming worth a visit .

Great place, friendly service and simple food. Real wood fire makes it extra special on cold days. Outdoor seating with connection to a blue tooth speaker is also a bonus. Highly recommended

Great bar bang in the middle of the village. Good range of drinks and the food is good too. The owner couldn't be more charming making this a definite place to visit!
