Zizzi - Leeds Birstall in Kirklees

Had king prawn spiedini for starters, the prawns supposed to be harrisa marinated, they weren't, they bland, plain, not a good start.We had a hot potato and calabrian sausage pizza and rigatoni wild garlic meatballs, they were very nice.Desserts were really nice and well presented.Service was slow for a restaurant that wasn't overly busy.Overall the meal was really good, just let down by the poor starter.

Food and staff fantastic. They felt understaffed as service was not as quick as expected but the quality remained high which was great. All the staff did everything they could and were clearly doing it as quickly as possible while keeping the customer experience at a great level.

The food was absolutely amazing! The service was fantastic too! Definitely will be coming back! Wasn't over priced too. 😁

Really bad experience. Service is absolutely terrible. The restaurant was about 1/3 full, yet we have had to wait for over an hour for starters. Kids meals hadn’t showed up after 1hr 30 mins. Drinks had to be ordered three times and didn’t arrive for over 30 mins. Some starters where missing. Extremely below par. Numerous complaints made little difference. It will be a long time before we return. The table and seats (booths) where very dirty and we where told that they are always “sticky” lovely thought…..

easily 5/5. Great food and service. Had an issue with one of the starters and manager assisted us personally to get it re-done and to verify that it came to us in perfect condition

First time I've been to Zizzi's and it was pretty decent. Rustic Pizzas are a good size and toppings are quite tasty. Service was good and restaurant was clean,tidy and a funky design. Solid 4 stars

Kids pasta was pasta and pizza baseHumans grown up pasta was tasteless pasta supposed to be with veg but came with olives red pepper and spinach was offered mushroom but could not find..Burnt my whole mouth one a boiling hot cappachino in a flask cup cup was nice but should let customers know piping hot as the cup appears cold.Shame won’t be going again!!!

Delicious food with large portions. Could not have wished for anything better.

Honestly this place was a solid 5/5. I literally couldn’t fault it.Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a variety of food and all of it was full of flavour. The free crisps on arrival were a really nice addition too.The only tiny little thing that we didn’t particularly like were the bowls that the mains were served in. It made it quite difficult to cut the food because the bowls were curved. Would have preferred a plate. (I know this is set by the powers that be but thought it was worth mentioning.)Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

Hi we called into zizzi on way home from York. We where shown to our table and given menus and told that due to availability there where shortages and certain Items where not available and where crossed off the menu.There was still plenty to choose from. The food arrived apart from my sons spaghetti bollonaise and it seemed to take a good few minutes there was an apology from the waiter but children's menu are the easiest to prepare. It's a good job we where paying the majority of the bill with Club card vouchers as this seemed to make it good value.
