Aarti Restaurant in Leeds

Fantastic food and polite service which could only be improved by relocating to a different premises.We were seated on a table directly opposite a service hatch with close proximity to other tables. The dining area is located above Rand Coffee and only accessible by a staircase. The main room is a converted terrace (upstairs) with the two cramped toilets in desperate need of some TLC, another floor higher.

The name has changed, but the the food is wonderful and you will not be disappointed .

Went for a meal last week. Staff really friendly, helpful and polite but very disappointing food.

Wow what can I say ! On the way back from York, looking for something to satisfy the curry bug , hasten to add we are Gujeratis so we know a bit about curries. Dilemma was that we didn't want the standard fare dished out at all the big curry houses across the land and we needed to satisfy a vegetarian impulse aswell . Quick Google sesrch revealed Aarti .On 1st impressions it didn't for a second look appealing but as soon as we entered we were made to feel welcome and instinctively knew we were in for a treat .We ordered a prawn , vegetarian, and chicken curries together with a chicken biryani and some kebabs and samosas, there were 8 of us before you say it . The food was superb , authentic and had a real and I mean real homely taste . The chapatis were close on authentic as what we have at home, the nan breads excellent. Everything was polished off , delicious. The bill didn't hit the pocket hard and the meal including drinks came to just over 80 squid . The lady who took our order was superb , welcoming and just simply superb from start to finish.Thoroughly enjoyed and if ever in Yarkshire we will always make a point to visit.Aarti thanks for a great meal.

Aarti is our very favourite restaurant in Leeds, we have been going for years and have never been disappointed. We’ve travelled extensively in India so can vouch for the authenticity of the food. Try the dal, it’s beautiful. Love the dosas too.

Called in here Friday night after having been recommended by various friends. Could not fault it, the owner was lovely food very tasty had a fish starter with chilli and it was gorgeous my husband had the lamb chops also very tasty. It’s a shame it’s above a cafe because we would not have noticed it had we not been told about it. Main courses were plentiful and tasty 😋 will definitely be back to this little gem 💎 of a place.

Went on a Thursday evening booked a table for four the service was great she couldn’t have been more helpful very polite and courteous. The food was really great well cooked not greasy we had dosa which according to our Indian friend from Coimbatore was lovely. The portions were ample and it was a very good evening. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with out hesitation

Always a pleasure dining at Aarti. The owners are lovely, staff always attentive and friendly. Food is great and since my wife is Indian I can say with certainty that this is genuine Indian cuisine cooked to a very high standard. Prices are relatively cheap too, ideal for a cheeky after-work visit.

One of the best restaurants I have eaten in a while - better than the 5 star rated in LondonEvery item was delicious, cooked to perfection. The most important was each item we ordered has its unique taste and not have same base. We went 2 days in a row and wish we could go back and taste everything on the menu !! Just fantastic and pricing so so reasonable for the quality & taste of food. Deserves a Michelin star !!! ( actually better than food here than the one in London which has Michelin rated) - thank you !!! 🙏Also the service, staff excellent - please don’t let the location stop you from going - excellent!!!

Authentic Indian Food , with best curry 😀 Must try.
