It was Good Friday when we visited. The pub was very, very busy but we had booked and we were promptly shown to a table. We were next to half a dozen very drunk and foul mouthed men. We tried for three main meals and each was out of stock. We would have gone elsewhere but didn’t know the area. The food took a good while to arrive but to be fair was very nice. (Katsu curry- not our first choice). The staff were run off their feet but could not be faulted in how pleasant and helpful they were. The desert was also lovely and promptly served (apple crumble pie). I’m not sure we’d go back owing to so many items being missing off the menu.

Great food, posh fish and chips is to die for! Went back the next day for brunch. Even though it was mother's day the land lord still made room for us. Perfect!

Not impressed with the level of service. Took nearly an hour to get our meals. When they came they were cold. Shame as its just been all renovated and looks good but more appearance than substance

My Wife and I had our wedding reception here in the upstairs function room which has the main area and a quiet part where the separate bar is. All the staff were brilliant and went out of their way to make our special day amazing. The food for the 'wedding breakfast' was fantastic as was the evening buffet. On a side note there is a Premier Inn next door which is very convenient for guests coming to a special event from afar.

Called in Wednesday app 1pm 3 of us. We had a long wait for food and had to ask where our order was twice when it eventually arrived the food was a bit bland and not very appetising ham egg and chips ham was bland and very dry chips were in the main hard. although the pub was nice it was cold inside. Don't think I will call again.

New decor and open plan is pleasant however the noise levels have increased considerably from the prior layout making it uncomfortable to hold a conversation. We occupied a vacant table to to told within 15 minutes that the table had now been reserved and we had to vacate and stand at the bar.Altogether not a brilliant experience and will think again about a revisit.

We met family before a wedding the next day. The food was good and we all enjoyed a good meal. The pub felt safe and was clean, the staff were friendly.

Nice pub/restaurant with friendly staff but to get charged £8.40 for 2 x 330ml cans of brewdog???? Won't be ordering that again!

We walked to this pub for a light lunch. We were going to sit outside in one of their lovely huts, but after my husband went inside to buy drinks, they invited us and our small dog inside as it was a bit chilly outside. We ordered lunch at the bar and then there was a power outage which resulted in no gas for cooking in the kitchen. The staff were brilliant and apologetic, so we amended our food order to suit the available facilities. I had chicken wings and salad and crisps, as no chips were possible and my husband had nachos. The food was excellent, the staff were lovely and we will definitely return. Thanks

So the food was lack lustre and the service was simply overwhelmed.Felt sorry for the ladies, we hoofed our food down and three courses took a mere 2 hours and 5 minutes. The food was a boil in the bag special, not bad but not that good either, kinda like a pub stuck in 1980. Realised the stuffing was missing and had run out of beef and pork. The server kindly gave us a drink foc, to apologise for the delay.I know you are a massive chain and staff shortages are a thing, but seriously under staffing your service, means staff are angry, untipped and unhappy. Not to mention customers.I would be happy to pay a little more for a little more.
