I got recommended to try Chequers Inn from a friend and I'm so glad I did. Set in such a beautiful village, this pub provided the BEST Sunday roast I've ever had out.Insane quality food and every course was consistently fresh and beautiful. Not the cheapest but it's not an issue when the quality is this good!!The beer choice is also great.Cannot wait to return!!The only negative was I was with one other person and the table for two was just too small, and you're nearly touching elbows with the table next to you, surrounding tables just having a drink and crisps that have kids running about are right beside you so not the best when eating a nice meal, but I understand the rooms are small so it's difficult.I'm hoping when I return with more people we'll have a bigger table. The pub cat is also lovely 😁

Nice village setting, lots of outdoor seating. Pie and burgers were nice but a bit pricey. £45 for food, 3 pints of lager and a coffee.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Had to wait quite a while for food. A bowl of green veg wasn't that great, but the Sunday lunch meat and Yorkshire pudding was absolutely great.

Called in after a walk, had amazing sandwiches and the best chips ever! Super value for money and amazing service despite being busy with Sunday lunch and their phone ringing constantly. Will definitely be back... recommend 100%!!!

Quite busy for lunch, despite it being almost 2pm. Cosy interior, Quick & efficient service. Delicious soup & very filling sandwiches. We'll definitely he back.

Cosy pub with a decent selection on the menu. Would have preferred a wider choice, but the food we had was really good. Had to order in advance due to covid but all worked well. Staff were very friendly and the beer selection is good.

Lovely little country pub. The food portions are very generous and quite delish too. We had a sandwich each and shared some chips..on reflection we could have shared the sandwich too...all of it tasted really good. If we're in these neck of the woods again we will definitely stop here for a bite to eat.

A steak and onion sandwich in Ciabatta, with delicious coleslaw, my wife had a cold beef sandwich, both excellent, very good service. Nice pub.

Quaint little pub in a beautiful setting. Food was amazing, and portions were huge! We had the Yorkshire beef burger. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was very efficient. Would highly recommend. We hope to revisit at some point in the future.

Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious food and a good range of drinks. Nice arrangement of outdoor seating, although it was full outside when we visited. Great location too. Nice range of food to suit all occasions, whether it's a light snack or a three course meal. Will definitely be returning.
