Chicken Stop in Leeds

I love this place. Best chicken fillet burger you will find in leeds. The man defended me after an unfortunate altercation with some mean men and has been very kind to me ever since. I will never stop coming here; fluffy chips and a GREAT burger at a fabulous price! 5 stars!!!

Won't be going back to Chicken Stop again!..Very POOR customer service. Women sat behind the counter on her phone. Hardly a friendly smile & takeaway was empty and lifeless.Maybe she thought I had turned up to rob the place however it was ME that was robbed!I was ripped-off to the tune of £5.50 for a meal that normally costs £3.50. So OK, the chips cost an extra £1.99 but it was actually included in the same meal that I normally paid £3.50 for! The docile woman explained prices had gone up.. What?.. Within 5mins?!What a DUMB reply!I will give this business another 2 years before it's closed down.A total waste of land space!

As a fourth year student I have tried many a chip far and wide. If you value shape, depth, crispiness, softness inside… chicken stop is the place for you. Sure, the woman at the front could be a bit more positive. However the feeling you’ll get once you bite into such perfectly cooked, crisp chips will beat any negative emotion any server could give you.I recently had the pleasure of tasting a cheesy chip, also. The cheese? Incredible. Combined with the immaculately cooked chip? A unique combination you can only find at chicken stop.

Go cut leeds recommend to this job I’been fresh food was good quality and clean I was try pizza and chicken Peri Peri burger they’re amazing and also fresh fries I love chilli sauce such amazing I will recommend everyone i’ve been many place but I didn’t get like this food amazing

The lady on the phone needs to be FIRED!!! Pathetic rude women. Extremely rude on the phone, I told her 10 times it’s the orders for collection and she kept on insisting go on Uber eats and order delivery instead. Pathetic women

Chicken stop? Joke, I’ll let you know where to stop next time, and it isn’t here. The lady at the front was so rude, asked for her chicken wings and was told that they flew away when they saw me entering the shop. I thought she was joking so I laughed along and was asked why I was laughing. Anyway, thought I’d play it safe and get some chips with ketchup, to find the ketchup getting squirted on my face. When asked why she did that, she laughed at me. I didn’t understand that this was a form of banter but the wing joke wasn’t. Asked her for some napkins and she gave me the menu to wipe it, then asked her for water and she gave me sparkling water. I didn’t understand what I did to receive this kind of harassment, maybe it had something to do with the fact that I whispered to my mate that it smelt of a farm in there. Now it kind of makes sense that she made the chicken flying away joke. Either way, I ended up not getting anything and spending £20 on a dry clean, to which I will be charging chicken stop. Do not enter.

I asked for wings at 10:30pm. They microwaved old ones for me. 6 microwaved wings for £3….Tasted soggy on the outside and dry on the inside. Horrible

Went here today after 8 of year being at uni and living at Hyde park. The old chicken shop was great but this was the opposite. The woman on the counter was so rude and unfriendly. I was having a great time with friends and chatting and she put sky news on at 1am so loudly in the place. I also asked for sauces and she said there were none, but then gave the next customer lots. It's so sad to see places like this go down hill, but the woman on the till gave no care to the place so unsurprising

Avoid at all costs! My husband and I made an order on Just eat a few weeks ago. It arrived an hour late and the delivery driver asked if we were going to make a complaint to which my husband said yes, we would as the shop kept telling us different things when we called and it was over an hour late. At this point the driver started shouting at my husband and drove off with the food...after we had waited so long and paid for it! I called the shop 3 times and asked to speak to the manager about the drivers frankly odd behaviour and was first told that the driver would come back with the food, and then told that the manager would call me back. Received no call back and a refund from Just eat came through so its evident that the manager just doesn't care about good customer service at all. I recommend Chicanos in Harehills, much better customer service, food and staff.

I like this place a lot. Their burgers are phenomenal, especially with all the different options. Something I have picked up on Chicken Stop is their chips. Their chips are always hard and become cold very quickly. This is the reason I rate this 4 stars. I would 100% recommend the burgers to everyone but would advise you not to get the chips.
