I visited here today with my family and the lady and young girl behind the till were really rude to us not really speaking and dismissing us. We were forgotten about so our children were getting quite bored too. When some older customer's came in they were really friendly with them and chatting to them! I found this really rude! We will not be visiting again!

This is a lovely cafe. The coffee is excellent and the range of cakes/bakes were very tempting. In these Covid days I have to mention also that it was well-organised, well-spaced, clean, safe and well-equipped with sanitiser, etc. Great place for a coffee stop. Highly recommended.

Just been today first class service on a wet busy day. Had coffee and scone £3.80. Best warm scone ever. They do fruit or walnut with butter both excellent. This place is great value. Don’t miss it if you are visiting.

I found a light and airy decor with friendly staff. There was an enticing array of baked treats on display but I went for the last steak pie. The filling was good, however the pastry was rather thin and light. Perhaps that's the modern preference but I was expecting a more traditional heavy pastry to complement the gravy and mushy peas. In response to other reviews: our table was clean and, whether or not the ingredients of the meal were freshly prepared, it all tasted fine to me.

Dreadful experience! Dirty tables all filled with previous occupants' leftovers.Had to ask for table to be wiped. Ordered pie and peas and was dismayed to see a tin of Morrisons cheapest tinned mushy peas being opened then microwaved. Next came the Morrisons gravy granules. Couple who came in after us had the right idea, they left without ordering!

Lovely and new, great staff and decor. Stock in trade is pie and salad, and cake. Meat pies look good and available to take away as well as eat in, vegetarian options are more limited with a couple of flavors of quiche, but still nice. Salad alongside is very nice.Cake and coffee certainly acceptable, looks/tastes very fresh. If they put as much effort into the vegetarian quiche as they do in the meat pies I think it would be 5*!
