Where do we start … the fish - it was fish, plain and simple deep fried white fish. The base was your average mess which stuck like mush to the grease sodden paper, the girth and voluptuousity of the flaky fish was standard - a real let down after the extortionate price. This was accompanied by the chips, these were yet again average however we did have a few surprises as the scuffs and bruises were clearly ignored during the preparation process - leaving us a highly priced mixed batch of some burnt ones, some buggered ones and not so many beautiful ones. The sausage was good - but good is all it gets, far from perfect for the price yet was the best part of the meal - a solid 7 incher with crispy batter and good form, this was a nice change from the average fish. The curry sauce was another memorable item - this wasn’t your ordinary chip sauce slurry yet instead had a “back of the throat tang” which was clear from the recognition of it being Chinese curry sauce, this was a nice and peasant change yet for the high price not at all worth it. Finally the service - if you are in a rush then ignore this place, took around 5 minutes to be recognised and the man behind the till didn’t fancy conversation, for the price we payed we expected a 16 seater Hummer H2 to take us round the corner - high price, average food, poor service. Would we come again? No

Been in for a small fish and chips and a bottle of coke the best fish and chips I have ever had so I have to give u ten out of ten well worth a visit will be back soon x

Got a tray of chips with gravy shouldn't of bothered I got 12 chips with a spit of gravy not a splash and the chips was missing the tattie absolutely fuming 2.90 taking absolute biscuit took photos and will be reporting you for day light robbery should be ashamed of your self top fish bar my backside

Decent fish & chips.. the fish were massive & freshly cooked. Nearly knocked off a star for only taking cash.. really need to take card payments, especially during a pandemic.
