Food very nice and seating well spaced. Disappointed that the pay by card option was not available.

If you want everything to be state of the art don’t bother. The food is decent, well priced and service impeccable. Not modern and not complicated, but a Cross Gates institution and worth your money.

Alright, decor is very dated and the atmosphere isnt the nicest. Slightly pricey but the food was nice.

My family and I visited East India restaurant few weeks ago and were really impressed with the excellent service here, the staff couldn’t do enough and the food was one of the best curries we’ve ever had!! I will definitely recommend and will be visiting again!! Lovely atmosphere for a weekend night..!!!,,fantastic..!!!

This has been a regular of mine since it first opened. It's on the Station Road side of the Crossgates Centre and can be easily missed as it is just a doorway inbetween shops with a steep fight of stairs to the restaurant. Once inside though you are always greeted by friendly staff and seated in a waiting area where you can order drinks and choose your meals. I have never been disappointed with my meals here and find the portions to be generous. We often have the starter for two which is like a meal in its self. We like the unpretentious feel to the place and the staff are always helpful and friendly, of course we have been going here for quite some time now so maybe we are just known ^_^We prefer to go early in the evening and through the week it is quiet and relaxing. The prices are very good for the amount that you receive. Of course I am going to recommend this place because I have never been let down.
