Gildersome Arms in Leeds

I came here to "rescue" some of the carvery trimmings through Olio. It was my first time using Olio to collect food, so I was a bit nervous. But when I arrived, the barmaid was very friendly who directed me to the carvery. The chef politely asked if I wanted a Yorkshire and then said I could help myself! There were lots of lovely veggies and the gravy was veggie too! I was kindly provided with a box a and pot for gravy. The food tasted reeeally good! I highly recommend!

Visited today for my mum and dad's anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The staff are super friendly. There's a good choice of food, menu and carvery. I had the carvery, which is a favourite of mine. You get a good helping of meat and a Yorkshire pudding, a varied selection of vegetables to choose from and potatoes, with as much gravy as you can fit on your plate (small, medium or large). Will definitely be back.

Made the mistake of going mid afternoon, barely warm tired vegetables on the carvery, a pie took a llong time to arrive but was fresh and tasty.... I have been twice before and it was really good, wont go again at this time.

Popped in here as a random idea after visiting a garage down the road. However, we were all impressed with what we found.The food is of brilliant quality and quantity. Lots meat given at the carvery. Drinks were a little expensive, but as it all only came to £10 per person, there was no complaint!

Carvery was fantastic everything spot on. Choice of three meats Beef, Turkey and Gammon. The Yorkshire puds were great not too spongy not too hard. Big thanks to the staff for great service!

What a gem! Popped in here last night on the way home as never been in before. I was not disappointed, staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough and the food was gorgeous. We will definitely be coming back soon with the family!

Decent food and well presented. Clean site and friendly staff. Only gripe was the onions were almost raw and the roasties were flowery and anaemic, other than that everything else panned the nearby Toby into the ground.

Went for a carvery with friends. The staff were friendly and polite (hence 2 stars); however, unfortunately, we couldn't chew the beef, the gammon was fatty, the vegetables undercooked (hard), and potato powder is used for their mash. Will have a burger next time! 😁

I came here for my birthday with my family.The food was cooked to perfection, really tasty and hot. Everyone enjoyed everything they ordered. The staff here are very helpful , friendly and professional. The place is beautifully clean and decorated nicely for the Christmas season.We would recommend coming here to everyone.Thank you for an excellent service.5 stars from me . Gemma.

Went for Carvery. It was really nice.If you like your meats done more towards rare side then it's lovely. I do like mine a bit more done but it didn't spoil it at all.The mustard and other condiments were hidden round the corner from the gravy, at the end of the line, so i missed getting mustard, which i love.Is it all Carveries? Not been to one for a long time. But i'd prefer food to be a bit warmer. I know it's hard with it being laid out.
