Lovely sunny weekend so why wouldn't they close up at 1530 whilst the park is still heaving?!Clearly the destruction of cafes during the pandemic was just a myth?! They actually haven't had it better?! They must be rolling in money, Leeds City Council... Feel sorry for the staff being deprived of normal working hours. To be fair, it's rubbish watery coffee here anyway. It is worth half the price they charge.

Nice cafe, served reasonably quickly on a quiet rainy day. Plenty of seating inside and out. The car park could do with making bigger nearby, I can imagine in better weather not being able to get a space. Park lovely.

·

Lovely setting and popular cafe friendly staff and very nice food after or before a good walk around. Even Robins popping down for a feed .

Not a bad spot to stop for a coffee, my only issue was I was on my own with a dog. The moment I stepped in I was informed "no dogs allowed" which is fine but I'm surprised considering there are so many dog walkers. Then when I had my coffee brought out there was no sugar and it wasn't on any sort of tray. Felt like the staff just wanted the day over with and there was absolutely no compassion. Maybe other staff have but certainly not the ones who delt with myself.

Visited whilst in the area, glad we did. Cafe is well stocked with delicious cakes & hot food. Coffee is good. The gardens are beautiful with lots of bird life around the Lake. Worth a trip if you are in the area.

Good stop in very pleasant October sunshine. Could do with better organisation inside. You are served quickly, but then there's a long queue to pay (& drinks cool quickly!)

I'd rather go to Greggs at least at Greggs the staff are friendly and polite. Golden acre cafe is too expensive for what you get. The staff used to be happy and friendly and always had a smile now they walk around as if they don't care. It's changed so much it's horrible. I took these photos a couple of days ago the dead wasp has been there for about 2 months next to their dishes

Wonderful park. Lake, gardens and woods. Dogs, under control, allowed off leads. Cafe serving light lunches and teas. Easy parking at top and bottom of park. Good for families.

Popped in for a coffee during a visit to Golden Acre Park. The café itself is quite utilitarian but pleasant enough. The serving area could do with reorganising as the counter is right in front of the door so the entrance area immediately become congested once a few people are queuing. They offer the usual hot drinks and light meals and snacks but the latte was from a machine rather than “bean to cup” but it was still ok.

Love Golden acre Park. I am a regular visitor. I took my children when they were young. (Now in their 20's and30's) I now walk my dog there. I discovered Paul's pond only recently through the Breary marsh woodland and stream. There are the lovely formal gardens and wild flower meadows in season. The beautiful lake where you will find wild water birds, nature reserve and yet more woodland. Perfect for families and dogs. A lovely cafe and a kiosk. Today there was a live band playing jazz in the cafe. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
