Pop in for a quick takeaway GF sandwich. Blackboard full of tasty choices. Any sandwich or baguette filling available hot or cold on M&S GF bread which is nice. Always takes longer than expected to make a sandwich and GF sandwiches lack butter or a spread by default so can be a bit dry unless you ask specifically. Little pot of fresh salad on the side helps moisten the palate. Recommend Plum and Prosciutto salad.

Great atmosphere, decent coffee, nice food

I enjoyed a lovely bacon sandwich with a pot of tomato relish. I am usually a HP sauce type of guy but it complemented it quite well.They even sell my favourite coffee beans from York Emporium

The cafe is quite nice. The menu is variable. I had cheese and onion quiche which was superb.The staff were very friendly and the hygiene standards were high. It’s definitely one of my new favourite spots.

Haley & Clifford provided the catering for a recent significant birthday celebration in the well-equipped Thorner Victory Hall.We chose a bespoke three-course cold buffet for our 26 guests. All of the food was prepared fresh by the talented and lovely Val and her team. The canapés provided an excellent small bite as the guests arrived. All of the main course dishes, including roasted Mediterranean vegetable tortilla, spinach, tomato and goat’s cheese pie, pork pies and salmon en croute, were absolutely delicious – and there was no skimping on the salmon in the en croute dish – and they all went very well with the different salad accompaniments. The fresh summer berries with cream and the frangipane tart provided a light yet tasty dessert. Many of the dishes were gluten free. Several of our guests commented on the high quality of the buffet and how pleasantly surprised they were that it didn’t feature any sandwiches at all.The customer service was excellent throughout the planning and food delivery process. Val communicated efficiently and professionally at all times and was always extremely flexible and helpful.The food was plentiful. It was therefore brilliant forward thinking that Val provided us with eco-friendly, sturdy cardboard doggy bags. Some of our guests, and we ourselves, took the spare food home.We would certainly order another bespoke buffet from Haley & Clifford in the future. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful service and the most amazing food! We used Haley & Clifford Deli's outside catering service for my 50th birthday celebration two weeks ago. All the guests were very impressed by the choice, presentation and quality of the food. In fact, it was that good, I am requesting their services again for my mum's birthday party in October. Surprise bag of goodies arrived on mother's day morning. Gorgeous pastries, bread and confectionery treats - absolutely delightful and fantastic quality. Friendly service from the delivery chap. Highly recommend and will use again.

Visiting from the south to see the family, and they introduced us to this glorious deli café.What an array of produce... ranging from homemade cakes and tiffins, creamy cheeses and charcuterie, olives and nibbles.Scrummy selection of unusual salads, patés, sandwiches, quiches and all manner of foods for breakfast, lunch and tea.We enjoyed a smooth, creamy latte coffee, cappuccino and a babyccino.As an aside, they had a really moving display of black and white photos of people with their mothers, in preparation for Mother's Day.Will go back before we return home, your should too
