I come here at least twice a week. The food is excellent and good value for money. The choice of vegetables are the best you can get anywhere. The staff are very friendly and willing to help when ever asked. Its kept very clean including the toilets. Also I would like to thank a young man called Ben for all his hard work he does and for clearing the tables constantly.Well done everyone there !!!

There were 3 in our party, we ordered 2 carvery and a golden years 2 course. We waited almost 25 minutes until I jogged their memory, the 2 course golden years was brought out at the same time! The waitress said "well you should have said you wanted it separately, do you want me to try and keep this warm?" , ooh good idea. The lady that brought the rest of our order was very pleasant and checked we had everything. Couldn't fault the carvery, beats Toby hands down

Usually we go to the carvery and have only recently discovered that they do breakfast from 9am till 11am.Well I can say it’s a fantastic all you can eat breakfast at an affordable price, good quality breakfast items with tea, coffee or orange juice for a little extra.Myself and Glen enjoy it that much we have become quite the regular. All the staff are really friendly and polite and a special thank you to Denise as she makes sure we are well looked after.I love the atmosphere here on a morning as it so relaxed and friendly.I would definitely recommend anyone to try.

We have been to the Hawthorne a few times in the past couple of months and the food has been lovely. Chicken burger was really nice. Staff all really friendly as well. It's improved so much from our visit a few years ago!

Booked a table for a birthday treat for myself and partner, haven't been here for well over a year and was really looking forward to it.And I wasn't disappointed. We didn't wait more than a few minutes to be seated - there was a bit of a queue in front of us.We were told there was up to a 40 minute wait for food but we were fine with that. However, it came in about fifteen minutes. The root vegetable pie I had was delicious and my partner said his scampy was lovely. The portions are good, I think it is great value for money and the desserts are amazing! The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, the place was clean and tidy with tables being cleared and cleaned as soon as they became vacant.Lovely place, lovely meal and can't wait to visit again.Thank you

·

A family friendly environment, nice staff and great food.. we have our business Xmas meal here with the ladies and gents from Sentinel Squad UK. Myself and wife call up several times through the year. Highly recommended

·

Pre booked for 6 people and we were seated quickly. Food orders straight forward and hassle free.We ordered starters which were brought out in good time and they were very good.We were asked by the waitress if we were ready for our mains but they didn't appear for the best part of 45 minutes. The steak was rock hard as was the hunters chicken. They had clearly been under a hot lamp for some time. There were plenty of staff but most seemed to be standing around and carrying the odd cloth except for one young lad who was rushed of his feet and meeting himself coming back. He was extremely attentive and couldn't apologise enough for our wait for mains. It wasn't his fault and we all commented on how he seemed to always have his hands full whilst others didn't appear to be doing very much. He's a credit to your team and well done young man. You carried the most of the team that evening. Very disappointing experience overall though.

New Year Day meal for 16. Food was delicious and didn't take too long to arrive. Staff were really friendly and helpful and they all worked so hard. Would definitely recommend especially for a large party of people. Can be quite stressful for 16 people but they made everything really easy.

Good service, good atmosphere, decent food. We didn’t book on a Sunday evening but all 5 of us were seated straight away. They had a children’s area which all 3 of our children played in 11, 6 and a 1 year old. The broken machines should be removed however as they only caused disappointment. The food was served promptly after ordering at the bar. The staff were helpful and even provided a box for our sons cheesecake to take home. Reasonable price.Definitely returning if we ever want a carvery!
