Holiday Inn Hotel in Leeds

I would not stay here or in any of these hotels if you paid me.We attended a wedding at the weekend & because the reception was held at this hotel we booked & paid for a room. Unbeknownst to us, the government had commandeered the hotel for refugees, which is fine, I've no issue with that, however, as PAYING customers we should have been told. We weren't told, we were told by someone else. Instead of the hotel contacting us to explain the situation, they told the bride she has to inform her guests. How unprofessional is that? She had no idea who had booked a room yet the hotel did! It was never the responsibility of the bride to inform her guests!When we did find out, we contacted the hotel to find a room elsewhere, which we were offered in Osset...at nearly double the price we'd already paid! What? Thankfully we had other options so declined to rebook elsewhere plus the sheer incompetence just put me off staying in any of these hotels.Don't even get me started on the price of a single house G&T! For £3 more, I can buy a bottle of gin! There is absolutely no reason why a single house G&T is £7.35! Especially in Yorkshire!All in all, I'm sorely disappointed with this hotel, the competence, the communication, the overall prices. Absolutely shocking tbh.

We stayed for one night after visiting Diggerland and were really impressed with the service. From Ronnies friendly welcome at the reception to Emma’s top class service in the dining room we were made to feel like VIPs. The room was just perfect for us, clean with all the facilities needed. We used the swimming pool twice which was very relaxing. The bar and dining area was modern and clean and the service was exceptional, nothing was too much. My husband and two sons enjoyed playing pool. We had an 3 course evening meal which was absolutely beautiful and breakfast was great as well, lots of selection. Will definitely use this vital again and would recommend.

Definitely value for money, you get a decent amount you would normally for that price, room had a good hairdryer, ironing board, iron and a wardrobe with hangers. Towels were soft, everything was clean, water hot, pretty nice and modern room actually. Easy access, close to a steakhouse, bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would change is the bathroom tiles and shower curtain, a bit outdated but can be overlooked considering the price for the room and how cosy it is!

Great place to stay, food was amazing. I ordered a burger in a bun with French fries, most amazing burger I've eaten in a long time. Our room was immaculate with everything you need, from iron, ironing board, tea coffee making facilities. Staff here are very polite, caring, and understanding of those who have dietary needs. I am dairy free and vegetarian, nothing was to much trouble to the cook or staff. I would defo recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone.
