Jake's Bar and Still room in Leeds

Again the same as previous reviews, no problems with any door staff until here. You keep receiving reviews about this yet nothing had been done. Had no alcohol but refused to tell me why 60 people were allowed in ‘even though it was full’ but not myself who was stood there patiently for over a hour. every bad comment is about the bouncers, you’d think you’d do something about it. Real shame. Ruined works due. Thankyou.

Doorman refused us entry because we were seen with a girl who was denied entry into another bar an hour ago. When we asked why they wouldn't let us in were told we had threatened his mate. Not true. Then the doorman accused us of being "off our face on drugs" , again, not true.A very aggressive man, given a pinch of power and it's gone to his head. As someone who works in a bar and knows security guards this was baffling, won't be visiting again and I hope this inspires others not to.

I'm sure once you are inside this establishment you can have a jolly good time. However, the 'door security' seem hell-bent on not allowing you over the threshold. " It's too busy inside; you've had enough to drink; you're in too big a group" are common reasons. All in all, the door staff need to acquire some manners, though i won't hold my god forsaken breath.Don't waste your time.

I have visited Jake Bar for over 19years of my life. True Leeds lass me!But lastnight, while on my work do and completely separated from my friends after losing my phone and trying to get home. YOUR door men refused to help me by calling a cab and also refused to let me bk in (after leaving on my own accord) to get any help from my friends! This was a despicable thing. Unforgivable! What if I was one of those so called students lastnight, alone and vulnerable???!!! What happened to a protective service and watchful eye?! Many things can go wrong for women on nights out and they left me hung, in the rain! T***s in my opinion.They will claim I was pissed…… I will invite further reviews from my managing surveyor company on my behalf. My old pal (bouncer) for 20yrs on the door of space, called me a cab and bought me a drink until it turned up 50mins later!!!! (That was a strictly student night only)!!Sack your bouncers they are misogynistic bullies!!! In my opinion 👍🏽

If the takings weren't what they was expected to be it is because your door men were turning decent people away for their own personal reasons. Me and my partner were sat outside on the one of the tables and we saw it for ourselves, a group of 3 or 4 decent men made conversation with us by asking what it was like, we said its OK, you can get served as its not very busy so they they went to enter only to be told by the door man that it was full. Full my back side. If this was my bar after 15 months lockdiwn I would sack them imidiately

**There is a compulsory service charge on ordering drinks!**When you're being charged £3 extra for each round of drinks you're buying, you may as well go somewhere else. Ridiculous when cocktails are already around £10 each.Their staff weren't particularly interactive either, which is unappealingly given it's an expensive bar

Friendly staff and welcoming staff even in today’s crazy times. Drinks good as always, very good selection of cocktails

The bouncer with the brown hair was extremely rude on the door. We had a table booking and would not let us in with no reason to give. Do not go here. Neon cactus on the other hand were very polite and gave us a table

Absolutely love this place. Such a great atmosphere, really welcoming with the best drinks. Can’t wait to go back soon!

OK bar, but the bouncers are a disgrace didn't let my sober friend back in after going for a smoke due too being "too drunk". So another member of the group stood with them and when I asked which one was "too drunk" he pointed at a different person who wasn't in our group. So due to this my group of 10 left the bar. I would avoid this place as there are better places on the street, where tge bouncers don't judge you on appearance, race, or sex.
