Had some drinks here recently while staying in the hotel. Bar area was nice and the service was excellent. Nice little spot to enjoy a drink before heading out for dinner, seemed very popular as quite a few people came in from work for a drink while we were there. Definitely worth a visit if in the area

Love breakfast at Mal. The staff are absolutely brill and the environment is great. Breakfast buffet gone slightly down hill since pre-COVID, and up in price, but that's really understandable given how hard the hospitality sector has been hit by this pandemic. Still very enjoyable because of the nice people.

Visited here on a Friday evening in August and had high hopes for it after reading reviews, but it didn't live up to it. A total lack of atmosphere didn't help and was rather unimpressed.Had two starters that were okay, but not amazing. The spicy sweetcorn chowder wasn't spicy and the Thai sticky beef and noodle salad was mostly just noodle salad (a good job in the end that they got my order wrong and gave me a starter portion rather than the main portion that I had requested).

I was disappointed if I'm honest..with the pictures and other reviews I thought this was a really fancy place but when I got there it was more like a fancy wetherspoons and having worked in a wetherspoons kitchen i know what I mean. The food obviously isnt made fresh and it's really overpriced. 2 bowls of pasta for 24 pounds, i wouldnt have paid more than £5 each really, didnt look exciting at all..It looks like the decor can do with updating too..however the staff were very friendly. It's just not as nice as the pictures make out to be.

I arrive at this superb place every couple of days since I love the good mood that is characterizes this restaurant. The crew is highly loving and experienced. The service is absolutely fast. Most important, the food they prepare is exceptionaly good. I frequent more than once and I was always delighted. The cost is modest. I recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

Absolutely magnificent evening. We visited on a busy Saturday evening. The service was top notch.The house red is easy to drink and fantastically fruity.The starter of blood orange salad with goats cheese was wonderful - highly recommended!The main course of braised beef with a black pudding and potato rosti was stunning.I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner.
