Midgleys in Leeds

I used to really enjoy the fish and chips here, having defected to murgatroyds a few years ago. I tried them on a whim one evening so placed an order online to collect from the shop. My order was ready on arrival. The fish and chips however were a disappointment, the batter was flat, thick and still a bit undercooked on the inside. The fish size was decent so not all bad news. The chips were also a bit undercooked for my liking. Sorry to say I won't be back again in a hurry ☹️

It was alright. The chips were a bit wooden and had bad bit in a few. The fish was ok, a bit small. I'll keep searching for the perfect chippy.

Pre-order and collection very simple and convenient. Always choose Midgleys for our coeliac family member, one of the few take away foods we can enjoy as a family

Very disappointed with the fish on the last two visits, certainly not cod or haddock! May have to find another fish shop I'm afraid! 😔

Hi I have just called at this fish and chip shop today, I had fish & chips and a breadcake they were absolutely brilliant. The fish tasted lovely and was light, flakey and cooked wonderfully as were the chips. The staff were polite and friendly too, the shop was clean and I will definitely call again when im in the area. Keep it up 👍👏👏. John

Bought 2 chip bottles n got home to disgusting chips. Some was well done and some under done. Didn't eat them threw them out to see if the wildlife will eat them.

Fish watery tasteless size of 2 fishfingers at best chips old and burnt never going there again as not the first time its been bad

So disappointed.. i have bought from here twice during the day.. the food was fresh with a big decent sized crispy fish. Today a Friday night the food was rubbish.. soggy fish, barely any batter, smaller than usual, greasy chips. Will not give my money to this place again and will spread the word to my family and social media not to buy from this shop

The food is delicious, the spam fritters are melt in the mouth, chips are cooked to perfection. The fish is moist and tasty and the battered sausages are perfect. The customer service is great, the prices reasonable and click and collect has always been hitch free
