Miller & Carter Leeds Light in Leeds

One of mine and my partners favourite places to go. The service is first class every time, the food is delicious and atmosphere fantastic. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic service, fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere. Felt like a real treat going here. Polite and welcoming gent on arrival. The waitress (who I'd like to name but not sure if she'd want us to) was friendly, made us feel welcome and had some good suggestions on what food to try as our first time going here. The food was excellent and definitely worth the money. Will be back.

I visited this place last night and after being welcomed in by the lovely lady at the door, I then had the misfortune of having Gareth as my server.He asked if we had visited a Miller and Carter before and we said no.At first, he took our drinks order fine, then when my friend asked for a small salad as a starter, he told him quite abruptly that his meal would be to salad heavy when he had the salad with his steak. This was before he had taken the main order. My friend told him he was not having a steak for his main.I requested a filet steak and joked I was a heathen as I wanted it cooked medium well.Gareth obviously decided I must have looked like someone who had never ordered a steak before and told me how I actually wanted the sirloin as my cooking request would shrink and toughen the steak.I repeated my order for a filet steak, cooked medium well, I have had many and they have all been delicious. It may have been my first time at this venue but I have been let out to dine once or twice before.Gareth sighed and said ok.However he was then rather abrupt when I told him I did not want a sauce with my meal, " but you are not getting the full experience" I was told, thank you that's fine I replied, he did the same thing again when I did not want the salad.I have never had to repeat my order as clearly and repeatedly as I did to this sourly faced server.My steak came and was ok around the ends when he came back and asked how it was, however once inside it was raw/medium. When he came to clear the plates and saw I had left over half of my steak he asked why I "decided" to not say anything when he had come and asked. I told him I had not got to the middle.My friend had the ribs and they were very poor quality also.If the owners read this may I suggest you train your staff much better and have them understand the "experience" is not the steak. It is the full dining experience and staff that speak to you as though you are stupid certainly add to the experience but not the one I'm guessing you want them to have.

After going back to our Airbnb and taking a two hour nap, we took the bus back to the City Centre again. Walked for half an hour and went by this restaurant again (we passed it this afternoon 👍🏻).We decided to go in and had a wonderful dinner with some bread and bruschetta as a starter and we both took the rumpsteak. Great and frienly service we enjoyed our first evening in Leeds. Thanks 😘👍🏻😘.

We came here on Valentine’s Day, so understandably it was extremely busy. Despite this, the staff were very attentive and polite. We had an amazing evening, the food was absolutely delicious and every single staff member treated us extremely well. Our waitress was Caitlin L who was lovely and made sure we had everything we wanted. Very impressed to say it was one of the busiest nights of the year!!

Really impressed by my visit! Served by Eve who was so lovely, very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and fresh.

Staff were friendly, but slow service even though they were very quiet. Food and cocktails well presented, but not much variety in cocktails. Food was nice but was expecting more from the burger considering it is a steakhouse. Only 3 vegetarian options available. My desert was also cold. Will not be coming here again.

Steak was wonderful. Seems pricey (to us Yorkshire folk) but jobs a good un. Well worth it. Onions aren't my thing but the steak my mouth is still watering.

Service was excellent, food was excellent... we all went for the scallops for starters....beautiful.... portion size was ideal. Then came the mains, I went for the T-Bone and it was sensational, asked for it to be medium cooked...so juicy 🤤... chips was lovely peppercorn sauce was lovely. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding...WOW.. it was so soft and it came with a delicious ice cream, very nice indeed (forgot to take a photo)... overall 10/10 would recommend this place
