I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions which were properly cooked and well presented. The couple running the takeaway were very friendly and helpful.

Thought we'd try these since new owners have taken over OMG they were amazing, freshly cooked absolutely perfect. Won't be going anywhere else

This place has changed hands since I last went. I ordered fish and chips twice, along with chicken nugget and chips. Cooked to order (only took 5 mins) so the food was hot and fresh. Cooked very well. Portions were decent as well. If you've not been recently I'd highly recommend it.

New Owners... Very nice fish & chips, good value, large portions. The batter may have benefited cooking a little longer to stay crisp but will use again.

Well I have to say I was pretty shocked. This as got to be one of the best fish and chip shops in Rothwell. We all know that Pegotty's has had a poor reputation over the years and too be honest I had heard it had been taken over by Chinese owners, although it is purely a fish and chip shop. I have to say their fish and chips are quality and they serve generous portions. The bonus is, 'like most fish and chip shops, they shut at around 7.30 not recognising that people work late hours, however they are open late hours and I must say I am very impressed at their food.I will keep reviewing this though!!! So keep up serving good fish and chips because within the Rothwell area there are lots of competition who enter the Best Fish and Chips and I think we all know currently who gets one of the top prizes.Keep up the good work and you too could be next in line to win for Rothwell.

Since the new owners took over we now have an excellent fish and chips shop. All cooked fresh from ordering good quality food from the fish to the chips and peas great job guys thank you.

Lovely fish and chips cooked fresh so piping hot. Large portion. Very satisfied. Will go again.

Recently taken over. The new owners are doing a great job. They take your order when you arrive so its cooked fresh and the food is good and the price is very reasonable.

Haven't been back here since the new owners took over - so glad we did! Lovely fish and chips, battered sausage, peas and curry sauce. Much better than it used to be and this will now be our favourite chippy.
