We ordered from Pizza Merano last Saturday and were really disappointed with the quality. Firstly the pizza base was like cardboard and the chicken was really dry, but the main point is that my partner had the kebab which gave him food poisoning. We know it was this as it's the only food he ate in 3 days that was different to myself and the rest of his family. We've complained through the Deliveroo website but they weren't able to do anything. We would appreciate a refund for these items please. Other than that it was fine.**REVIEW UPDATEAbsolutely shocking response from the restaurant. The date the review was written bares no relevance to the quality of food, nor does the fact that you are a family business. We had this take away and my partner was throwing up the next day, and we've been incredibly busy so we didn't have the time to immediately write a review. Also if you read the comment correctly it states that the kebab was the only food my partner ate that was different to anything else I or his family ate, I did not say "he only ate 1 thing in 3 days". The fact that you point out you've been in business for 10 years makes it even worse. I'm sure you work very hard, but this specific takeaway you cooked was terrible, I have every right to tell you this as we spent our (also) hard earned money on your business. If you can't refund it then that's fine, just say that rather than going on about how you work hard and it's a family business etc, I'm not arguing that, it's the food you cooked I'm reviewing and the refund I requested was for the badly cooked items, not the entire order (read the review properly before responding). I've just read your previous reviews in more detail and we are not the only ones to comment on your food hygiene. I'm not attacking you personally, but it might be worth double checking your food standards are in line with EHO.

I have been coming here for pizza for years. The stuffed crust pizza is a must! All hand made and tossed right in front of you. The staff are always friendly and it’s unbelievable reasonably priced. The best pizza in leeds!! 🙏🏼 🍕 ❤️

I love Pizza Merano. They are our go to takeaway whenever my girlfriend and I order food. The pizza's are legendary, the staff are incredibly friendly and the prices are very reasonable. If anyone is thinking about trying them out I wholeheartedly recommend it. The Veg Club Naan is also an absolute hidden treat that I'd advise anyone to try.

If you stay in leeds centre on a night out...DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY. I stayed at the easy hotel in the centre and ordered online. They accepted my order and left me waiting for 40 minutes , at which point I called to query where my food was n they told me they could not deliver to leeds centre due to road closures however there was other means of access to the hotel as the hotel hotel manager told me this. And....to make things even worse the delivery driver was apparently the manager. Well........if this is the case then there is no hope for this takeaway ar all. Tried to get a refund which was really difficult and they insisted I contact just eat to get a refund. Everyone just tried to pass the buck and fob me off. I had to call the takeaway multiple times after this and they just didnt care at all. Then they said they would cook and send the order fresh. I obviously didnt see the logic to this seen as though they "couldn't get to me" apparently....the only person who seemed to listed was Tariq who I praise but the rest of the staff were just ignorant and awful and basically didnt give a sh*t once they had my order and paid for. I only leave this this review for others that stay in leeds that dont live there. My 1 star on this review is literally only for Tariq. If I had the option to leave no stars I would if it wasnt for him. Thanks Tariq!!!

Definitely Recommend Pizza Merano, food always arrives piping hot and in good time.We have ordered Pizzas on a number of occasions and we have enjoyed each and every one. Delicious base and toppings and Very good value for money. We used to order from one of the major pizza chains and they always struggled to find us and as a result our pizza always arrived cold. Never had this issue with Pizza Merano, Hot food, great taste, fast delivery.Lee and Scott @ Endecliff

ALL THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKE - DO NOT BELIEVE The wrong was pizza delivered, we called and correct pizza delivered, it was missing ingredients and cold. Ate 2 slices of "pizza" and left the rest because of how bad it was. Won't order from here ever again. If you're reading this review just spend a bit more somewhere else and get better food - not worth its weight this place DO NOT ORDER
