First time in and WORSE experience ever. We told the waiter that we have to leave by 7. our food gt to the table at 7:05. (1 hour waiting for the food) first to order in our sección and last to be serve. They are very incompetents they do not have a good customers service. I will not recommended to anybody. I bet there’s better Chinese restaurants in town.

An extremely disappointing visit last night to red chilli in Leeds. The starters were not good. It took two hours for our mains to arrive from when we first sat down. They gave the excuse that they were really busy with takeaways, the restaurant was half full. Poor experience overall

The food was very nice as usual, the basa fish with chilli we ordered suited our appetite very well. Well recommended and would come back again.

Have been here before and always had a good time and food was great , but this week walked in the room was freezing the waitress had a coat on the bar man had his coat on , we asked if they could turn the heating on but just got snubbed off , I wanted to leave but my wife said let’s give it a chance. Omg what a mistake the food and service was terrible , sat in an ice box all night the only good service was when I asked to pay. Will never go again.

Did not read the reviews, mistake one. Staff were nice but completely disorganised and gave the vibe that they won the job contract by successfully locating the apron in the takeshi maze of waior recruitment. Waited 2 hours for them to poison my Vege mate with meat and for the replacement food to come out suspiciously quick compared to the rest. Food was either over salted or over sweet and we took a doggy bag home unsure of what the fate of the bagged food would be. 2 stars because they didn't charge for drinks but honestly I think they just forgot.

We went on Chinese New Year, we waited in the lobby and we were ignored by staff for 10 minutes. There should be front of house staff ready to greet and assist you. Eventually we were taken to be seated by a guy with a poor attitude, we asked for jug of water and pot of Chinese tea.He came back and asked did I want green tea or jasmine tea, I said I just wanted typical Chinese tea that is common in restaurants. We only received two glasses of water and he never brought tea. It took 30 minutes for a waitress to appear, she was a very sweet girl but the place was being very poorly managed. So we ordered Spicy Dumplings, Lemon Chicken, Griddled Potato chips with sliced pork belly and egg rice. I had to ask again for Chinese tea.Tea came 15 minutes later. Then we drank tea for 50 minutes and some of the food came with slightly apologetic waiter. He said they were struggling due to Chinese new year take away orders, but that is not a good excuse!. You are a big business with several restaurants in UK and you cannot manage afew orders on a very important day?. The lemon chicken was OK, but very basic like take away, not even lemon pieces, and quite small portion. The spicy dumplings in chilli oil broth was nice but probably made with frozen dumplings. The egg rice was very good but portion for two was a little small. The Griddled potato chips and pork belly slices was mostly round potato slices and red chilli pieces, hardly any meat!. Tried charging us for two pots of tea but we only had one. Also ask for 10% service charge. So overall a very dissapointing experience, service is appallingly bad. And it wasn't just us that suffered, I could see other people had dissapointed faces, including Chinese families. There seems to be a disconnect between the staff, no leadership and bad attitude from the tall guy. And why so mean with the portions and meat? The prices on the menu are not cheap, pork and chicken is not expensive meat. Its a shame because Red Chilli could be good, it's nice to finally see home style Chinese dishes offered on an English language menu and not just typical sweet and sour, hoisin duck and bbq ribs. People want to try new traditional Chinese things, but not if the service and atmosphere is like this.

Pre covid we would come every wedding anniversary. We wont be back. Scruffy staff (some in baseball caps and hoodies!), slow mediocre food which is definitely smaller portions but at the same price. Disappointing.

Food is generally pretty good, albeit a bit rich/heavy in the case of the braised dishes.I suspect they buy their dim sum pre-made. Tried ordering xiaolongbao and was told they had 'run out' due to Chinese New Year (11 days earlier). They could still serve siumai though, a dish which uses all the ingredients found in xiaolongbao. Odd.

Deliveroo order, food was completely cold. Ordered half duck and salt & pepper chips. Salt & pepper chips were vertically same as normal chips. Duck portion is as tiny bearing in mind half duck was £22.80. I’m certain it was only a quarter duck portion as there were only 5 or 6 pancakes. Will not be ordering again.

For what we paid the food was very mediocre and lacked flavour. We was really looking forward to visiting here all week and it wasn't worth the wait sadly. The staff were amazing, I can't fault the service the slightest. However the food wasn't up to standards. The soups were ok-ish but missed some ingredients that was stated on the menu, the noodles represented the texture of Bombay mix the meats that came with the dish were questionable, the prawns were very gritty and the sauce wasn't anything like salty duck egg yolk. When asked questions about some items on the menu which were very basic and we got the answer of "I don't know" we wasn't offered glasses for our drinks.Only good thing was the free glass of wine. Maybe in the future we will try again when the full menu is available but for the time being we won't be returning any time soon which is a shame
