Red Pepper Indian Restaurant in Leeds

Great service and lovely food as usual, great portion sizes and super friendly staff - can't fault it

We went to this restaurant last night for my son's 21st birthday. I have to say the service was not a pleasant experience. The first waiter who took our orders didn't write our side dishes down. Items ordered where clearly forgotten which I had to remind the waiter towards the end of the meal. Starters where ok but not as nice as we have had in the past. My lamb curry was unfortunately very fatty and full of gristle. My son's curry was brought to the table in the frying pan which it was cooked in. Which we found quite odd. 1 side dish between 5 was only served instead of the 3 we ordered. Overall not a pleasant experience. And cannot recommend.

A very good meal.Not had an Indian meal for a very long time.We thoroughly enjoyed it.Very good atmosphere and the staff looked after us very well.Reasonably priced and the flavours were excellent.Well worth a visit if you have not already been.We will be going back again as soon as we can.

Starters were dismal, too many spices, main was served extra HOT when we asked for medium- chef confused for madras, owner offered to fix situation with some yogurt and a jug of water. Staff is totally confused. Would not recommend, many other local places you could try that are better.

Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the Leeds and surrounding areas. I travel here from south Leeds and it's well worth the trip. Exquisite food, great Indian lagers (draught Kingfisher is my favourite but they do Cobra too) and very friendly service. You cannot really do better in my opinion and I am a hardened curry eater who has eaten in most cities in the UK.

Food delicious and the Naga tarkarni was what every spice head will enjoy. Very enjoyable birthday evening

Just taken my two junior boys for their first taste of restaurant curry at 6pm the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout. Our food was very good and as we had two young children in our group the spices may have been toned down to accommodate their experience without myself or wife asking. Also delt with my youngest sons request for just a bowl of cucumber to have along side his meal. We all left very happy. Good restaurant.
