Sadly the cash only policy doesn’t feel very Covid safe. Most people don’t use cash right now so I think the Brewery that owns the pub needs to update its policy to fit with 2022. If there was a shop that did cashback or a cashpoint nearby then I could understand but after a 4 mile walk it was very disappointing to arrive and not be able to buy a drink

Staff knowledgeable about Sam Smith's and this company supply everything behind the bar crisps included (which where excellent). Beer is the usual Sam Smith affair, food not too bad but my Scampi and chips was quite small. Room really nice, while place warm and inviting despite being nearly empty on a Wednesday night. The ban on digital tech is admirable but a bit high soiled if you ask me. What is a business traveller on his own supposed to do?!

Amanda and Luke are the most excellent hosts, the hotel is welcoming, clean and very comfortable, the food is excellent, the staff friendly and accommodating and the ambience wonderful. Thank you for helping us and my elderly parents to have such a wonderful time on my Mum’s 85th Birthday.

A bit of a mix up at the bar, but reasonably priced and food was served promptly. I liked the authentic feel and that they have a ban on mobiles and electronic devices.

Beautiful place, with plenty of character and charm. Great parking and easy to find. Even though they were understaffed due to sickness the staff went above and beyond. The management should be proud of your Fantastic staff. We would happily come back.

I had a great stay here, room was great and the staff were very attentive. Really liked the cosy pub downstairs and I had a great meal. Room was sadly a bit noisy and I could hear my neighbours snoring and some plumbing noises.

Great location. Food was lovely ! Piping hot and homemade...delicious. Rooms were spacious and clean. Loved the no phones no electric gadgets in the bar / restaurant where we ended up chatting with other guests. Lovely staff too couldn't be more helpful and chatty. Recommend a stay here it is such good value.

Amanda and like who run the Harewood Arms are great. I'm lactose intolerant and they got milk specifically for me. They're very friendly, the food is excellent, the accommodation is wonderful, very luxurious. You can watch wild red kites soaring above you. We would definitely stay here the next time we come down, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to come to the area

Petty rules around no phones, no standing at the bar, no swearing and not allowed to bring baby food in whilst eating at the restaurant all create a pretty stale atmosphere where most people seem reduced to whispering quetly.Considering it's really cheap maybe it would be alright as a no thrills, but the food was on a pretty low standard. We had to send back several Yorkshire puddings which were practically charcoal.

Nice place, but the petty rules stuck on notices are a real atmosphere killer. Everything is brewery own brand and you are told this passively aggressively by the bar staff who must be sick of telling people this. A word of warning, this is a cash only establishment, so you may be stuck if you are used to using cards everywhere.
