Salumeria Restaurant at Salvo's in Leeds

Extremely pleased. Staff friendly and service quick. The environment and atmosphere was spot on too. Food excellent. Only gripe was the menu doesn't state that the beer is bottled I was expecting a pint for £4.70 and the food is pricey but you get what you pay for here which is quality. Definely recommend to others.

We were a party of six with two children 5 and 2 yrs. The staff were great and for a Monday early evening it was busy. The kids menu was pretty good and the quality of food good to. Adults had mains and a sweet. The pork was amazing with a mash and braised cabbage and the gravy was just fantastic. Creme brullee was very good to. Prices reasonable for the quality of food and service

We have been here on several occasions and have never been let down. The food is always incredible, the flavours balanced and the ingredients cooked to perfection. The vegan and vegetarian menu offers a lovely selection to augment the already extensive offering. This is a must try if you are nearby and an ideal location for a quiet night with your special someone.

Absolutely amazing! The food is incredible, the staff are just wonderful and the atmosphere is family friendly and relaxed. We cannot wait to come back!

Very very disappointed. Service was poor through the entire time we were there. Took ages to come to us, then ordered. Starters came before drinks, burnt garlic bread! Mussels were sandy, food was mediocre. Asked for parmesan (they didn't offer) and it never came. Deserts were then rushed Pannacota, was not a Panna cota. Then asked to leave as they were closing when another table was still sat there. Never had that before. Epic fail. Will not be returning. Ruined my birthday. Think twice before going here as for the price you'd expect much better!!! I never level bad reviews, but this time I felt I had to.

I cannot claim to be a regular at salvos but over the years (as recently as last month) we have had many great times there so I know the usual standard of food, service and atmosphere to be expected. Last night something was just "off".. beginning with the service , guests arrived, not shown to our table just directed "round the corner" , garlic bread arrived for the table, had to ask for plates! When they did arrive waitress advised "I'm not sure how many there are there?!", salt was asked for and forgotten .. it was a joint birthday...the cake we had brought was brought out to us, again no plates or knives?! Again it felt an imposition to ask... but for me when asking for sugar to have with coffee to be told "hmm I can try find some sugar but we might only have a sweetner " seemed laughable and ludicrous!! No sugar....in a restaurant? I guess all the deserts are bought in then. I'm also not sure it was necessary to ID a member of our party in front of his parents and grandparents when ordering a beer! He is 18 ...but I could be off the pace re the law! The food was disappointing .the ragu was watery and weak, the ravioli was overwhelmed by mint and the cabonara was dry and too much of the pancetta in it was literally chunks of (non crispy ) fat.... I would have thought half eaten bowls all round would have been a clue for the waiting staff to ask why... the pizzas were ok.All in all it just fell short. Had it not been a celebratory occasion (which in years gone by would have prompted some enthusiasm from the waiting staff) I would have complained there and then re the service and food.Sorry salvos but I don't think you"ll be our first choice any time soon.

First time we have been for about 20years, very busy for a Sunday night. The selection was good and the prices reason -able. Service as to be expected when freshly cooked, good size portions hence no desserts. Pity

Had high expectations from a recommendation but they were surpassed. The food was amazing and the front of house team (especially Libby, 10/10 host) were brilliant. Will certainly return, and recommend to all.

Nice ambiance and friendly team. Service was quite efficient and satisfactory. Parmigiana was delicious.

Really nice, great service and atmosphere. Not sure if my expectations were too high and was looking for something really exceptional and it was just very good. The starter lacked a bit flavour maybe seasoning. The lamb was really nice.
