Came in for a drink and a plate of chips, what I got was ridiculous for the price. I think it’s one of the most pretentious pubs I’ve ever been in. One of the staff completely ignored me and £4 for the tiniest dish of chips I’ve ever seen is a disgrace. The pub wasn’t welcoming in the slightest….

A bustling lively atmosphere, great service from all staff that served us. We were a party of 3, the steak was deemed OK, the other meals were good.

Nice setting, friendly service staff. Food was good, portion sizes adequate. Had seafood cocktail to start with prawns and smoked salmon. Ordered steak for main course but they had run out so had the burger. Burger very nice. The issue we had during our visit was the wait time, took 45 mins from ordering to get starters and then a further 30 mins for mains. When asked about the time later we were told they were Kitchen staff down due to illness. Would have been good to be told this at the start and could of had some bread to keep us going.Good but nothing special for the prices.

Went for lunch on nyd but made to order breakfast and it was absolutely shocking. So bad. 40mins later (no they weren't busy) we were served burnt dry stale sausages, chewie hashbrown (an extra £1!!), a thimble of beans and 1 scrambled egg tiny little portion. Steak was raw with mccain frozen fries. They even put lemon on the toast I don't know why. My daughter hated the lemon smell and refused to eat. One of the worst meals I've had and who can stuff up a full English ?! That meal requires no skill to cook!Nobody checked to see if we liked the food. Paid £50 and service charge added for the worst meal I've ever had out. My husband was too embarrassed for me to complain if I was on my own I would've refused payment. Expensive terrible food. I was surprised as there's so many good reviews.

Top notch Sunday lunch. Service was great and food was excellent. Timothy Tailors on tap was very nice too. Recommended!

The staff at The Beehive are just lovely, always serving with a smile on their faces so it makes it a pleasure to pop in, whether it's for drinks, food or both. We went for dinner last Friday and had a fantastic meal. Great ingredients transformed into delicious dishes which are imaginative and creative. The portions are generous and the prices reflect value for money so what's not to love. The menu is small but there's enough options to tempt the taste buds and when the courses are served, cause "food envy" too. Go, you'll enjoy it all

Spectacular Sunday Lunch, yes its slightly more expensive than your average joint, but its so worth it, and it's dog friendly! Only lost a star due to a couple of minor points. 1. No salt and pepper on the table. 2. No one asked about Horseradish with the beef. 3. If you serve a tablespoon of gravy on the plate you need to supply a gravy boat with all orders. These were sorted but only after 5mins of waiting. Just ask for all of this beforehand and I am sure you will be giving a 5 star review

Went for Sunday Lunch, was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived; however, after further inspection, the roast potatoes were almost certainly reheated and the pork was 80% fat. Not to mention the gravy was 10% salt. This wouldn’t have bothered me had the food been around £12. But for £18.95, it’s a bit of a disgrace. I’d avoid, there are plenty of better pubs in the area which are serving quality food at appropriate prices.

We were taken to our table promptly. The waitress, Becca, was attentive and timely. I felt a bit odd having fish, chips and curry sauce but I needn't have worried. The fish was well cooked in a lovely crispy batter. The chips were great and the curry sauce had a good kick to it. I washed it down with an Ossett brewery Yorkshire Blonde. Dessert was choux buns and lemon crėme patisserie. Lovely. It was a very pleasant anniversary meal.
