The Botanist in Leeds

Nice atmosphere although my lunch companion was a bit cold and kept her overcoat on. Our server was polite, friendly and helpful. On her recommendation I chose the sea bass which was beautifully cooked, well presented and very tasty. I loved it. My friend opted for the Korean burger and, on tasting, regretted her choice -- it didn't look that tasty and so it proved. I'd go back again for the fish and the service but not sure my friend will want to!

Incredible food here today. 10/10. They even chucked in a free ice cream because it was my birthday! #LEGENDS! Thank the lord I didn’t need a poo because because there wasn’t any toilet roll — let them know for the next person so it’s all good! I needed a take-out box but they had run out but luckily it was fine because I had a box I could put my spare potatoes in in my bag. The food is always presented marvellously and just enough, however the little things that were missing did not directly affect me but may others!Will come here again!

Food was lovely, was really good to get a choice of Vegetarian food. I shared the vegan board which was really tasty, especially the cauliflower along with the halloumi hanging kebab.

Beautiful optics from the outside, which makes it very enticing. The waitress in a brown cardigan did a fantastic job with our group. The hanging meat concept was terrific, but we had to abandon the chips as they were hard to chew. The cheesecake was the best I've ever had, fresh and creamy.

I can’t fault this place apart from wishing their was more seating. Every time we come there are the best live singers on, great atmosphere and such lovely staff. 100% recommend for drinks or even the whole night with food. All lovely thank you

Great cocktail bar. The outside seating area is really nice to look at. All the fake plants hanging on the shelter roof look great. The cocktails are good too. Pretty tasty old fashioned. It's nice to watch the guys make the cocktails too. All around a pretty good place to go for a drink in Leeds city center.

Went for my birthday on Sunday and was really amazing. Food came quick and atmosphere was really lovely.Even for being a full house, we were not forgotten about and service was great but not intrusive. Special thanks to our server Megan for the evening, who made really great cocktail suggestions. To top it off, was surprised with a candle in our desert. Made a very special day even better. Thank you very much and will definitely be back

Food was delicious and fairly priced, but service was very slow. We had requested a bottle of prosecco for arrival which wasn't provided (but not charged for), and despite requesting a high chair when booking, the table reserved for us couldn't accommodate one. The staff moved a diner from a nearby table to accommodate us, so it was quickly sorted, but shouldn't have been necessary in the first place

OK, nice atmosphere, good selection of food & drinks. Barman needs re educating though. Fills pint glasses 3/4 full because he says it's "to the mark" just above the one pint wording see pic. 🤣🤣I pointed out the mark in question was just part of the glass artwork (it's not even level), but he just wasn't going to give me the full pint, no how.

Staff are really friendly and helpful, so polite and happy to give recommendationsThe food is excellent and the "Build your own board" is a really good idea not to mention delicious. Aesthetic and atmosphere is also different and really lovely.Love it! Highly recommended
