The Bowling Green in Leeds

Worst breakfast so far my scrambled eggs looked and tasted like cotton wool, the bacon didn't look cooked very pale. My partners fried eggs were like rubber. They didn't have my first choice of breakfast which was pancakes either and only one coffee machine working. Very poor.

Since the refurbishment it's a good size and offer an ok pint for a reasonable price. Shame my son's food came out cold from the microwave! The staff were apologetic and Replaced the food.

Great Venue,clean,nice Ambience,toilets are immaculate and refurb definitely lifts the overall presentation-Prices are great compared to ‘Rip off’ most bars these days ,only grumble is you have to wait at the bar quite long time to be served🙄

Newly refurbished. Excellent breakfast and refillable coffee. Open fires, clean and tidy. Beer festival on at moment ...might have to return in the evening as there was a great range of ales on at ridiculously low prices 😀

Couldn't do eggs benedict - no poached eggs. But I could have fried or scrambled eggs!??? So I went for porridge. Got a congealed mass in a bowl. Also asked for a sausage muffin. Ended up with a sausage sandwich in 2 slices of white bread. It was all inedible. Never again.

Sorry to say our experience today was minus 10 stars. We ordered fish & chips which took nearly 30 minutes to come & the fish was cremated, the batter so hard it needed a hammer & chisel, not a knife & fork. It was inedible. We asked them to take it away & please let us have another one. Over 30 minutes later, still no food (while other diners were being served) so we asked for our money back & left. No apology, nothing. I dont think we"ll be back. I preferred it before the renovation, with cheerful, friendly staff & edible food.

Although the pub has had a refit, I found that my gormet steak was like eating leather, admittedly it was tasty but took a lot of chewing, staff didn't attend the table until well after I had finished, it would have been good if someone had asked if everything was alright, it was almost as if they knew it was as tough as old boots. Nothing wrong with ,Guinness

Very disappointing, made to sit with door open and when asked if they could shut it I was told it's warm outside. If I wanted to sit outdoors I would have. Told you can move tables when we had been sat there for half hour with the door shut waiting for food. Not the only ones that complained either.

Waited ages! Sent the cremated fish back...... then waited again! Still no food!! Avoid this place it is an absolute disgrace!!!! Asked for a refund, seems this is a regular occurrence! If I could give this rotten place minus 5 I would🤬

Well after that experience il never eat there again. Garlic bread soggy dough mess.The main course chicken was actually frozen in the middle sent both back.Asked for a refund and was offered a partial refund just for the chicken.Eventually got the full refund. Will never eat there again. We were not the only people complaining about next cooked food either.
