The Lord Darcy in Leeds

I know a very close friend who props up The Lord Darcy Bar A daily ritual with the locals.He will be loving it even more now he's enjoying his early retirement.I used to come visit when it was The Jester when I lived In Alwoodley in the 90s.Can't wait to visit again. Meet old friends & maybe some new ones along the way.❤️👍

We visited here on 26th February 2022. We booked a table for 6:30 and when we arrived were told that there would be a 40 min wait for food as a large party had just ordered.About 10 mins later we we're told wait time had reduced. However, having arrived on time, we didn't get our food until past 7:30. Now I didn't mind that so much but my battered fish was well overdone and I dmwas disappointed having anticipated a nice meal.My husbands salmon was, he tells me, delicious 😋 Maybe I should have that next time! 🙂Full marks for pleasant staff, also for checking for allergies, but the wait and overcooked meal let this place down.Why didn't you say something about the meal you ask...because I didn't want to wait another hour for a replacement and my husband's food was OK for him.Sadly, will think twice before we eat here again.

Went with a friend for afternoon tea the table was set up decoratively with a spring theme even a vase a flowers. An array of sandwiches in softest seeded bread as my friend has an allergy to white, a variety of cakes, scone, jam and clotted cream washed down with hot beverages. Will definitely be back well worth the money. 😋

Staff were all really lovely! The food really impressed us too, everything we ordered, from the roast Dinner to the Korean chicken was delicious and even though they were busy, we didn't wait long at all. They were really kind to my Granny who fell and adapted a dish for my sister without any attitude or bother. Generally great all round and we will be back!

Lord darcy used to be a great pub many years ago. We had some issues with food even when it’s not peak time, not to mention we have waited over 1 hour for our food. Do not order on the app because seems like they don’t check the orders and be ready to wait several minutes.

Good standard of pub grub. A tad noisy but not an issue ... maybe not the choice for a romantic evening out bit great for a party. 12 of us and we were served in good time and only one substitution in our pre chosen meals. Friendly staff what dealt well with 6 different payment methods 😀!

Lovely pub. Very clean and nice inside as expected in this part of Leeds.Friendly staff and very helpful.Took my family here for food on a Saturday afternoon. Pub was really chilled out and relaxed vibe.Service was good and food was nice. No problems at all. We had been on a trip to Harewood House and fancied a local pub meal. That’s exactly what we got. Highly recommend if your in that area.

Really nice food! I had a new dish made with mussels and was really nice! My husband had a sirloin and the steak was really good! The only observation is that you cant be in a hurry because the food takes long to be prepared!
