Great dripping fish and chips. Wonderful haddock. Very flavoursome. Took some London friends who were blown away by the food

·

Very good portions and very fresh fish and chips! The only issue for me was that the fish was a little too oily.

The portion is rather big for regular okay for sharing between two persons. If you have a small appetite just go for small fish & chip. Student gets discount by just flashing your student card. It was delicious.

Really great fish and chips but the staff, the lady handling the cash registry, was kind of rude and raising her voice at me. She had a strong accent and I was trying to grasp her words despite myself responding to her English. Great food but dissapointing attitude/ character of this particular staff. Please exercise patience next time.

The shop is hosted by the old ladies. I am not sure whether they are the fishermen's wife. The fish and chips are good.It is only takeaway but you can eat at the tables and seats provided. But the payment system is not good. Maybe the wifi is not good. The location as shown in google may not be update, maybe the location has moved. It is near Jenny's Jerk kitchen.

Ive bought fish and chips from Fisherman's Wife for years (as far back as to when it was called Gravely's) and they have always been delicious. However, since the relocation to inside the market, standards have dropped somewhat. The food I bought today was definitely substandard. The chips were dry and obviously re-cooked, perhaps from the day before. To pay full price for something that is essentially warmed up is unforgivable. The fish was also dry and disappointing. I'll think twice about going there again as there are MUCH better fish and chips in Leeds city centre.

Having moved to Leeds nearly a year ago it took a while to find a good chippy. I tried The Fishermans Wife for the first time a few weeks ago. I came for the food and return frequently for the lovely service. Very clean and a nice calm atmosphere. My only complaint would be not enough seating at busy times, but I couldn't knock off a star for that. Why wouldnt it be busy?Inexpensive for the quality of the food. Give the fishcake a try. Delicious.Sorry I couldn't leave a photo. Scoffed it too fast! Youll have to go and see for yourself.
