The Shadwell Village Fish Shop in Leeds

Fantastic fish and chips cooked to order. Never had a bad portion in 35 years!

Been meaning to write this for ages. We're lucky to have such an amazing chippy in the village. Been using the place for 2 years now, a couple of times a month. We have never once had a problem with anything on the menu. I particularly love the scampi. Keep up the good work.

Food good but helpings too much, no wonder people are becoming obese

Stumbled upon this fish shop with my boyfriend and they were absolutely gorgeous, fresh and the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back

The worst fish and chips I have ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. £25 for small, stale fish. The smell should have alerted us to their taste as our house reeked as soon as we unpacked the food. The chips were not cooked freshly, and was given chips which had been cooked previously. The overcooked fish cake had barely any fish in it and was very dry. The mushy peas were the worst…..they smelled absolutely foul and tasted even worse. I will not go back.

Always excellent fish & chips - generous portions too. If you phone your order through, it will be waiting for you by the time you get there.

Been coming here prior and throughout lock down. They're spot on with their lock down set up, quick, efficient, in and out. Decent opening hours too. The fish and chips are lovely and fresh, very tasty, we wouldn't go anywhere else, definitely recommend.

I think myself as an expert in fish n chips and when it comes to comparison in Leeds Shadwell Fish n chips are absolutely streets ahead of all others. The food is amazing and the service is as slick as anything and has been all the way through covid. We all look forward to fish n chips from shadwell.
