Setting is very nice. Staff are friendly, clean and presentable. Male toilets were immaculate (cleaner than my home 😱). The food was, to put it nicely, disgusting,. Made Wetherspoons seem like a Michelin 2* offering. Sorry but I will not be visiting again for their food offerings.

Booked a table for 4 adults and 2 children. Arrived and ordered food on the app, very easy to use and food was brought to table in good time. Ultimate burger and mixed grill were both very enjoyable, however we also ordered fish n chips and posh fish n chips. The fish was very watery and completely bland, no taste whatsoever. The batter was very thick and uncooked on the inside. We had to remind our “waiter” that we had side orders which were missing ( twice), no apologies, no customer service. Our two Granddaughters were never offered a pudding which was included according to the menu. The two young guys who brought the food to the table ( I won’t refer to them as waiters) had obviously had no training at all and seemed too shy to actually speak. Very poor customer service, would not consider returning as there is so much choice around with far better quality food and some kind of service.

Visited here for a pub lunch having read some good reviews. I ordered the roast beef meal, but unfortunately was very disappointed. The meat was not from a joint as it had been pre sliced like you see in schooldinners. The veg was clearly from frozen, and the gravy tasteless. What a shame, won't be back in a hurry. The pub itself was very clean and staff friendly.

Usually pop in for drinks. Ordering for table service via the Ember Inns app is really handy, and the service is always really fast and friendly. We've ordered food here a number of times too, and it's always been tasty and good value for money, with plenty of choice to suit most tastes . Good place to take the kids for tea too

Ordered through Uber, vegan burger is excellent and the onion rings and sweet potato fries all delicious. Also mostly recyclable packaging so big thumbs up.

Very quiet on a Sunday night, but no roasts left, and almost no red wine. Ordered nachos, we got a bowl of dry nachos with a tiny smattering of cheese and sour cream and perhaps 3 jalapeños- nothing like the picture.Followed by a 20 minute wait to even take the plate away, although the mains were quick after it, so probably just sat under a heat lamp. In fairness, the burger was delicious which did help to offset the disappointment!Side order of vegetables turned up after the main course, straight out of the microwave. It looks lovely on the outside, but if you want a nice meal avoid at all costs!

Called today for dinner lovely pub, lovely dinner and friendly staff, be warned though I tried to eat outside but unfortunately the wasps made this impossible and started circling my food a few ended up in my food I’d only had a couple of mouthfuls, we moved tables but unfortunately they were still round us. Mother Nature at its best, lesson learnt, we called at the Toby carvery but there was a huge wait and we were warned about a wasp problem outside prior, after already experiencing this problem we refused I ended up eating at our 3rd destination, maybe a warning would have been good, like with the Toby carvery otherwise I will definitely call again 😊 thanks

Clean, nice food and good sized portions first time visiting.

Just had a brilliant night in the Stone Trough. Excellent quiz. All the staff and management were so welcoming and friendly. Such a brilliant atmosphere and the drinks were all well presented and very reasonably priced. The 3 staff members that stood out were Jai, Harvey and the manager Adam. I will definitely be going back there next week for the quiz. And apparently there's an interactive quiz on Thursday nights as well!. I think I'll have to go and try that one out. Just a brilliant pub to have on your doorstep.

Ended up pulling in here completely randomly as we were driving past and it just looked so lovely! And we were not disappointed! Every single member of staff was so warm and friendly, the view sat outside was BEAUTIFUL, lovely decor, really speedy great service. This is well out of the way and nowhere near where we live but I have absolutely no doubt that we’ll be back, worth traveling to! What a gorgeous place and the staff are absolutely exceptional. Thank you and see you again soon! :)
