The Wellington in Leeds

My husband and I popped in without booking on a Monday night, assuming it'd be quiet here. It wasn't - it's clearly a popular place, with some really good midweek prices and early bird specials. They seated us quickly despite being relatively busy, and the waiting staff were excellent. All the comfort of a pub with the attentiveness of a great restaurant - the staff clearly care about the place. Food was really delicious, and the wine selection was good too. We'll be back!

This was my second visit to Ego. Family birthday meal, we had a great time, waiting staff so attentive they couldn't have been more hospitable. We chose the Sunday roast which was very nice but not as hot as it should have been, otherwise would have given 5 stars. Starter and desserts however were perfect. Will definitely return

Lovely place, great food and the staff are awesome. We were there with two young boys who suffer badly with autism and the staff were so patient and thoughtful with them. What I found especially impressive is that the staff were all quite young so showed an unusual maturity in their view of autism. Would recommend this establishment. Excellent!!! Will go again.

Never been here before, and had the Sunday roast. Absolutely excellent!The only downside was that we chose the Eton Mess for dessert. This had a passion fruit sorbet in the bottom which really clashed with the sweetness of the main component of the dessert. Apart from that totally excellent and I'd recommend The Ego at the drop of a hat.

Lovely meal with great customer service. Atmosphere was nice and the decor was lovely. The food was yummy. Good quality ingredients and a good selection. We had the Monday offer which was great value for money. 2 courses from the a la carte menu for £17.95. We will definitely return.

Iv been here a few times now for food and sometimes just for a quiet drink, very nice place with happy staff always ready to help. I had a rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce which I was delighted with. Could not expect anymore for value and taste.

Managed to accommodate 21 of us on Saturday night. Fantastic service, knowledgeable about the menu and managed to serve all 21 of us at the same time. Food fantastic from delicious garlic mushrooms, tender steaks & juicy pork belly. Very pretty decor & comfortable inside. Our first visit here and it won't be the last.

Love Ego, service has always been friendly and efficient. I like the atmosphere and the furnishings here; it's modern but comfy. The food is tasty and well cooked and presented nicely. Will be back!

Absolutely love the Ego, always our go to as a family and individually, the staff go above and beyond and couldn't compliment the manager more, my food was forgotten off the ticket on my birthday and it was given on the house as well as apology drinks, we even have family drive up from Doncaster and further to eat with us here and they are more than happy to travel for such a good pub experience.Also the happy birthday dessert truly tied it all together!
