pub nice warm and welcoming,went for birthday meal had free drink voucher via email, couldn't use it as they said it had to be used when ordering mealsfood was nice, very hot, however didnt have the taste as described by menus very blandstaff nice and friendly, one could of at least had a smile other than that nice evening

Lovely food and pleasant atmosphere and staff

It is a great pub with huge sections one section is for pool playing and another one to sit and enjoy the delicious looking food although we sat outside enjoying the sunshine we went in to use the loo and one could see it was a lovely cosy and spotlessly clean pub immediately on entering the public house well recommended..

It was better before lock down the meat quality has gone down hill I got a mixed grill and all the meat was fatty disappointed really. meat is very bad and fatty

It was busy as it was the last day to use 50% off voucher My start was over done. And main meal over done too steak was Tough, all I could taste was burnt, chip was luke warm. We have always enjoyed our meals but not that night.

It's a sizzling pub. Food was absolutely spot on and piping hot too. But the chefs attitude was abysmal when the staters were produced without the salad! When mentioned chef came out with a plate of salad, banged it down on the table turned on his heels and walked away! Whats all that about then?

Came here with my family as a friend had given me a food voucher. Staff at the bar didn't sound too convincing when they agreed to take the voucher but processed it fine.Both staff seemed a little preoccupied & there was no personal greeting or touch to the visit, as others have written, this is just a generic pub with grub.Food was good, hot and arrived quickly. They don't provide sachets of condiments, rather you're provided with half empty bottles which have been used countless times before, by who knows, so not very hygienic. Also tonnes of flies swarmed us when eating! Got tired of waving them away.For some reason their bitter tasted awful so I ordered coke afterwards.I probably won't come back, there's just no reason to make the effort to come here. Shame.

It's a nice little pub and the staff are nice, I'm only putting one less star because the food wasn't too great. The atmosphere and the drinks were nice though. I'm not sure if i will return if I do it won't be for the food unfortunately.

Enjoyed the food and the service, a good sized portion on the ultimate platter. I was definitely in the mood for wings and ribs... Would have loved to pour some hot sauce on top though! I recommend the woodcock for a casual catch up!
