I’d been here on several occasions a few years ago and always really liked it so was surprised to see a few recent negative reviews.. despite this a group of 6 of us decided to give it a go while in the area and we are really pleased we did as every one of us really enjoyed our food. I had fish and chips and my partner had sausage and mash, both loved our meals. Staff extremely friendly too- I’d recommend anyone to give this place a try

Staff are abrupt and several times we were told after we ordered that the item we ordered was no longer available.Children chicken strips was just cut up chicken breast and wasn't what you would expect for a children choice. Not bad if you want a quick pint but not a place I would come for food again.

What a lovely inviting place. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. Made my mum and friend feel so special. The food was freshly cooked and delicious Thankyou Jamie you made their day we will be back

I visited with my husband on Saturday around 6pm. The pub was almost empty, shame for a Saturday evening. The pub looks lovely having been refurbished. But the food wasn't great, and not cheap. The menu is typical pub food. We both ordered burgers which came fairly quickly. But the quality of the burgers was awful. Definitely not home made, in fact I doubt they were good beef. They tasted more like hamburgers from a fairground burger van. The chips were fine, but the onion rings were very greasy. I couldn't finish my food. My husband who seldom criticises food, wasn't impressed.I ordered an alcohol free lager. I was told this was the last bottle in the fridge, and it was frozen inside the bottle. It was a bit embarrassing. At just under £30 for 2 bad quality burgers and 2 drinks, I would have expected better.I would have mentioned it to a waitress, but we weren't asked if we were happy with our food, so we decided just to pay and leave.Such a shame as this place was always thriving.

After hearing hit and miss reviews about the Three Horseshoes I wasn't sure about visiting but decided to give it a go for tea this evening. It was very quiet which is to expected midweek in january and I wasn't expecting much to be honest. However after ordering the mushroom stroganoff I was really impressed with how tasty the food was. My mum ordered the pie which she thoroughly enjoyed. The manager was lovely (and gave my daughter a couple of biscuits from his selection box (which she was happy about!)I've just been looking at the reviews and it seems there have been some problems with food and service over the last few months But then some good reviews too. I would certainly advise people not to write a place off after one bad visit especially during such challenging times for the hospitality industry with Covid, lack of good hospitality staff having such an impact

Lovely meal, had 2 x 8oz sirloin steaks with all the trimmings and a bottle of shiraz, all for just £30. Fantastic deal and good quality, home cooked food.

Had a Christmas lunch here today, what a disaster. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt to a crisp, no roast potatoes, no cranberry sauce. The salmon was dry as a bone and the “new potatoes” were old potatoes that looked like they were from yesterday, they were grey and hard!!!Don’t waste your money by going here I’m sure there are other places in the locality where you will get what you pay for. The manager was “too busy” to speak to our party of 18, instead left it to the waitress who was clearly embarrassed by the quality of the food. We were given a small discount on the final bill but that didn’t take away the disappointment felt by everyone.

The staff were lovely, polite and friendly. The food was very tasty with huge Yorkshire puddings, plenty of veg and meat that was so tender it melted in the mouth. We were all very happy with our food and will go back again.

Birthday lunch couple of weeks ago. Really nice atmosphere. Young staff friendly and efficient, very attentive and helpful. Food and service, smashing, very tasty. Can definitely recommend. 4 stars only because wheelchair entrance is very small and awkwardly situated for my large powered wheelchair. I did manage to get in but it was just a little bit more tricky than it needed to be. A simple adjustment to the porch by the Brewery would solve the problem easily!

Called in on chance for a Sunday roast. The staff were excellent very friendly and efficient. The food was also excellent and great value. Would really recommend the Three Horse Shoes. The photo was the only one I took the vegetables were served in a sperate bowl as well as more gravy.
